Micover Stickover Windscreen for GoPro HERO3, HERO2, HERO (Black, Silver, White)

This is a great, if permanent, addition to the STANDARD non-waterproof housing backplate.Just be aware that the (larger) non-waterproof BacPac backplate incorporates the "skeleton" openings, which are on the edges of the case... not on the back panel. This makes the Micover pretty much useless for BacPac-equipped cameras.GoPro's skeleton case allows for a different noise solution, namely adding a plug-in (wired) remote microphone. At the time of my review, GoPro did not offer an external mic.

This says reduces wind noise up to 30 mph. That's probably accurate. I usually use my GoPro to film out of car footage when I autocross. Speeds usually max out at ~60, but on some of the larger courses, we get up to ~90. While this did make an improvement with wind noise, it gets overwhelmed at higher speeds. So, like the title says, it works as advertised, just don't expect miracles.

The wind noise when using a GoPro HERO2 camera on a motorcycle is pretty bad unless you use a windscreen. I have found the Micover windscreen to be a good solution.here's a video made using the Micover:[...]

I purchased this Micover windscreen to reduce the wind noise on my go pro and so far works as advertised. The only thing that annoyed me was installing it which was a pain.

I live in the grasslands of colorado the wind never stops. You can still hear the wimd but it howls out here and it is 100% better than with the waterproof back the only thing I can think of is to put tape down the center of it, seems that the more tape the better. (I don't think it will fall off the way the tape is configured.)

I purchased this with the hopes it would sort've do what it advertised. Reduce wind noise. It doesn't necessarily do that, at least for me. Perhaps you have a better experience or product than I do. Either way....this is a "Miss" as far as I'm concerned. Cheers.

It didn't make a difference, especially for how overpriced it was. I've used it during low-speed autocross, high-speed autocross, and track days, and you can still hear a lot of wind at any speed. If using inside the car, it blocks out the engine and exhaust noise, so it's tough to hear your modulations and throttle responses.

...Action auf dem Motorrad, vergesst es. Zu teuer dafür das kaum Verbesserung eintritt. Am Helm ab 40 Km/h nur noch Windgeräusch, selbst der Sportauspuff wird locker übertönt.Ich meine da muss eine andere Lösung her, direkt Micro am ESD oder so.Gopro 3+ (direkt am ESD montieren :D)

Der Einsatz eines Windschutzes lohnt sich allemal. Jedoch nur dann wenn die entsprechende Rückwand am Gehäuse angebracht wird. Leider ist das rückseitige Display ( BacPac ) nach Aufsatz des Fells nicht mehr sichtbar. Man kann leider nicht alles haben...

タイトルの通りサバイバルゲームように購入しました。完全防水のケースだと音が籠ってしまいますし、かといって普通の背面や側面が空いているケースにすると砂埃や風の音が入り困りものでした。この商品はそれをほぼ完ぺきに解消してくれます!購入して1年が経ちましたがまだまだ持続しようも可能な状態で重宝しています。バイクなどの高速で動くモノの風の音は無理でしょうが人や自転車が走る速度程度なら完璧と言っていい効果をもたらしてくれます。

オートバイの車載動画用として購入しました。装着方法はヘルメットマウントです。あくまで上記使用方法限定でのレビューですので、予めご了承下さい。もしかしたら、と思いつつ購入しましたが、やっぱりダメです。ハウジングとマウント部自体が風切り音を発生させているので、後ろだけ対策しても効果は芳しくありません。タンク上にサクションカップマウントを用いた場合は、かなり効果がある様な動画を見た事がありますが、ヘルメットマウントとは晒される風の勢いが違うのでしょう…。また、ハウジング背面には両面テープで装着する方法ですが、テープの材質と大きさの関係上、位置決めは慎重にしないとダメです。失敗して剥がそうとすると、テープが簡単にダメになります。
