Great tool
This is now my favorite bowl gouge for larger bowls, works great sharpens nicely

Edge grind needed repair
If you're thinking of buying this gouge, make sure you have a sharpening system. Upon delivery the package was damaged and the business end of the gouge was sticking out of the box. Luckily the edge was fine. However it was dull and wouldn't cut. When I was setting up the my sharpening system ( Wolverine Sharpening System) I noticed that the edge was not uniform. The tip had a different angle than the side grind. Luckily I was able to make it uniform easily. I will say that after re-grinding the edge it cut extremely well. Other than the fact I had to re-grind I am happy with the gouge.

Sharpness and ability to hold an edge
It showed up a day early. It was in perfect condition. It was sharp enough to use right out of the box.
