Great product and software!
Small business: 15 employees Does exactly what it says it does. Software set up was easy. I only use the time entry report and I have no issues running it. Don't be afraid of all the negative reviews. This has made it so much easier to turn in payroll at the end of the pay period.

Product is awful! Pyramid is even more awful! -- avoid at all costs.
The TTEZ system is total garbage. I was upgrading from an older version and the software seems to have gone back in time. Features were removed and the functionality is even worse than the previous iteration. I would strongly recommend against using this. It will not save you time. It will only make more work for you in the long run. I used the previous TTEZ clock for about 2 years only sticking with it because I had invested the time/money and I'm stubborn like that. When I opened a new location I needed a 2nd time clock and I figured I might as well stick with what I have and upon looking into it Pyramid had updated from software version 4 to software version 5. That was enticing to me as the software is the weakest link with the system. Unfortunately as soon as the new clock was delivered it was nothing but problems. I went ahead and stuck the install disc into my PC CD slot but the disc was blank.I tried it in 5 other computers. Still the same. Interestingly enough, I had this problem once before and I was able to get a replacement direct from Pyramid. I called Pyramid direct as I had last time (mostly because they are in the same state only a few miles from my main location), after talking to the customer support on the phone I was informed that if I wanted the new install CD it would cost me double what I paid for the timeclock and software here on Amazon. CS also informed me that the original clock I had would be incompatible with software version 5.0 so I would basically need to run two versions of software if I didn't upgrade the device. Lastly I had been using my old clock with static IP but the new clock only works with DHCP. The CS rep told me I was mistaken that my last clock was set with a static IP. I found ALL of this strange as the clocks are identical. Whatever, I was invested and the start of my season was only a couple weeks out. I decided to just order a 2nd time clock with the CD from Amazon in hopes that the install CD would be working and I would then have two compatible time clocks for less than what one system would cost if ordered direct from Pyramid. I should also add here that when I mentioned to the lady on the phone that Amazon is selling the exact same system for 50% of what she is telling me it will cost she more or less jumped down my throat telling me how Amazon orders thousands and I only want two so there is no way I can compare the price. This baffled me and honestly was the nail in the coffin for me and Pyramid. I returned both clocks and set about doing some research for a new solution. I came across another company (uAttend) and they had a wide variety of clocks in my price range. I decided to get the cheapest one that uses RFID cards vs swipe cards as I felt facial or fingerprint recognition could be finicky and a bit beyond what I really need for my employees anyway. The product I decided on was about ~$75 cheaper per unit to purchase compared to the TTEZ, but does require a monthly subscription. The price direct from the manufacturer listed on their site is the same price listed on Amazon, go figure! So far I have been using the new system with no issues other than my lack of knowledge about the product but the customer support is top notch whether I call or use the chat function on their site. Setup was a breeze and the software is web based so I was able to ditch the PC I had used solely for the Pyramid time clock. I can manage from any web browser or device I have. It's been a revelation, night and day from before. I would highly recommend looking into other solutions if you are looking to get an automated time clock.

Easy to configure and Tech support is great.
This time clock was very easy to configure and has been working in the office flawlessly for several months now. The only reason i needed to call support is to make sure i could import the data file from our old system. The Tech was accurate and informative. I was able to reach someone in a very reasonable timeframe.

Installation may be difficult
This is the best, most affordable time tracking system out there that we've found. However, you may run into some hiccups during the installation. Ours didn't install the Sequel modules so it wouldn't work. If you do an installation and get a blank screen with a cursor after you run the setup then you're having the same issue. I called tech support and they emailed me instructions how to do the installation manually. Well, it was pretty complicated even for us.....and we're pretty computer savvy.

Worked OK until it didn't...
So I picked up this time clock for a seasonal ice rink I was managing. It arrived in a couple of days, was well packed (5 stars). When I tried to install the software the install disc was corrupted and wouldn't work (0 stars). I had to call the company and then go and fax the purchase receipt in order to get a link and access for he sofware. (2 stars). We installed the software and got the system up and running. The software is generally easy to use, especially if you have used payroll and time keeping software before. I would give the software about 4 stars. The biggest problem was that the card reader died after about one and a half weeks service (0 stars). The company has no service help after 5PM (0 stars). I had to pay a $199 deposit to get a new box sent out, and then pay for shipping the defective unit back (0 stars). So...bottom line the unit worked OK and software was decent. If you are a larger company you might want a more robust system. For small companies of 100 or less this would be a good unit. The company should work a bit on improving the user manual, have better install discs and easier access to customer service. Otherwise satisfied.

MUST Install Software on single computer.
Software must be installed on a single computer. SQLLite, then the TimeTrax software runs on top of that. The software doesn't always install easily or correct the first time. -Software is free. -Must setup account, "purchase" the free software, place an order, then download the install. If the software doesn't install, you must remove / uninstall (5+) other pieces of software to start over. Even if you reinstall, it may not yet work. You may need to stop services, rename folders, uninstall, reboot, reinstall and hope you don't have another error. -All of this was done on a clean Windows 10 system. This took like (3) hours to get the software to work remotely correctly. Once online, the software saw the clock and all was fine. Until the system is restarted. The TimeTrax (and IIS) [and SQLLite] wouldn't automatically start with the system startup. So a "repair" install must be done each time we reboot the system. We reboot weekly for maintenance. -Backups of the clock punches happen whenever they want to. There isn't an easy way from within the clock software to backup punches or configurations. - So we looked at the IconTime TotalPass system. -Clock has a built in web interface. Point your AR/AP person to the clock, let them download the punches they need and done. No software. No database installations. No corruptions on table names and auto start (or non auto-start) issues to worry about. -And we get remote clock in / out if we need to as well. *Paid add on.

this worked great the only problems I had didnt have to do ...
If you have even just a little savvy, you shouldn't have much trouble with this thing. this worked great the only problems I had didnt have to do with the clock or software..i have installed the software on a vista machine and on a 7 machine with minimal troubles. the software has some limitations for those who need things like department switching , and that I think is why some people say it sucks.I say this know what you need and do your research remember "you get what you ask for". In this case I got what I asked for and I am completely satisfied.

Swipe doesn't work after 1 week
I purchased this to make my life and my employee's lives simpler in terms of pay and keeping track of hours. However, shortly after receiving it the magnetic strips stopped working. The employees would be there swiping near 20 times and losing time and patience for something that should work. It is supposed to be a reputable brand and wasn't cheap either. I'm disappointed. Not only that, I went online to register the product I bought with their 1 year guarantee and haven't received confirmation. I think I should be completely refunded for this product or have it replaced with something that works.

It's ok
Seems to work ok, took a bit of time to set it up because the software isn't that intuitive. The configuration also should be a bit more flexible for different hourly rates depending on what day the employee works, for example I pay a couple of my workers more per hour on a Saturday (which is their regular work day) than on a weekday. But others only work straight weekdays.

Horrible
Absolutely a nightmare!! 2hrs of trying to setup and being told needs windows 8 or higher! Item info clearly starts Windows 7 or higher. Tech support was horrible. Looking for a new system. After using Timetrax since 2016 will never be back!
