"Arrived ahead of time, had "bonus" 52mm lens cap (how did they know that I also shoot Nikon?!) and lens hood was great!"That vented hood design is invaluable for viewfinder (non-slr) cameras, fits precisely, and is a good shape.A great alternative to an expensive Leica "collectible" shade.If the shade reduces flare in an important image or prevents damage to a Leitz lens even once, it has been paid for!

can not use for wide angel
I bought this lens for Elmarit 2,8/28, used on Leica MM -- It looks fine through the optical viewfinder however when looking at images taken with the lens hood, image corners get dark shadow. The hood partially blocked blocks corners of the camera sensor.
