I've owned this bag for about 6 months now, and used it a fair bit, so I feel that I can give it an unbiased review.I was skeptical of the quality of this item at first based on the price; how good could it be for under $100, when there are so many other leather bags that cost far more? I was also dubious as to the authenticity of the material. I've since taken it on several trips, ranging from a couple of days to over a week, and I can safely say that all of my doubts were misplaced.For the price, you simply will not find a better bag, at least not one made of leather. And fear not - it is indeed REAL leather. Any doubts you may hold about that will vanish immediately when you open the package containing the bag and get a whiff of it (I personally love the smell of leather - if you don't, you'll want to let this thing air out somewhere). And because it is real leather, it will not crack, split, flake or splotch like cheap imitation pleather. This is supple, high quality stuff, and I'm not worried about it developing holes or fraying over time.The bag is well designed, and the layout makes economical use of the available volume. For a week long trip to Vegas, I was able to fit five pairs of underwear, five pairs of socks, three pairs of shorts, two swim trunks, a pair of slacks, a pair of jeans, two t-shirts, two polos, and two button-down dress shirts, and this is without utilizing the side pockets, which are plenty spacious in their own right. Note, however, that this bag is not intended to be a one-size-fits-all travel solution. If you're staying for more than a week, you will need another bag / carry-on unless you're planning on only bringing clothes.The small details on the bag are surprisingly high quality as well. The zippers are nice and sturdy, and I haven't had any issues with them getting stuck, even when the bag is totally stuffed. I'm not sure exactly what the clasps on each end are made of (looks like brass maybe?), but they're sturdy, and tightly affixed to the bag; I don't see them ripping or coming loose over time. The same is true of the handles.My only semi-complaint with this bag is the shoulder strap. It is reasonably comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing, but I wonder about the durability of the latching mechanism over time. The pin that goes through the notch to secure the strap length is thin, and seems like it may bend or break if one isn't careful. Additionally, the band that secures the excess length in place tends to slide off easily, leaving a length of leather flapping around as you walk. I imagine this could be easily fixed with a piece of tape or something.In summation, I'll say again: you aren't going to find a better bag of this size, craftsmanship, and of such quality material in this price range. I bought this for myself, but I'd be over the moon to get something like this as a gift. Five enthusiastic stars!

I bought the 24 " U Zip Leather duffel bag for my husband as a pre-Valentines gift. He needed a good sturdy travel bag that he could use for carry on and not have to check luggage for his trips. Love real leather and this bag is Real Leather. The feel and look is the wonderful Leather you expect and it is the nice Leather smell (not bad or horrendous as seen in some other reviews for other bags I looked at). The bag has enough side pockets for extra packing, and love that the inside is canvased lined. The U Zip is great and much better than the usual straight line top zippers because it makes it so much easier to not only pack things into the bag but also easily see and get to what you put into the bag. The shoulder straps are adjustable so traveling will be a breeze. The color is almost exactly as what was online -slightly lighter but it is Real Leather so you have to expect color variations. We think the color is beautiful and the bag fantastic.

The quality of this travel bag is incredible. I am very pleased with this bag. The Workmans ship and the quality of leather is outstanding. I highly recommend.

The duffel looks great. The leather has that good 50-mission look while still being smooth and very nice. It's just the right size for a 1-2 day trip. It is real leather with that great new football smell--not overpowering (some people). I'll need to see how it wears on an actual trip through O'Hare, but the strap seems wide enough (with the shoulder pad) to be comfortable. The only downside is that it is heavy, as are all real leather goods when you're used to nylon.This store has some very cool stuff. It's also worth finding their home site. They're a (local for me) Chicago outfit. They have some nice stuff here that isn't on their site (go figure), and and some nice stuff on their site they don't have here (e.g., kanpur half flap briefcase).

I wanted to wait to leave this review until I had used the bag a few times. I typically travel 3 weeks a month or more, for work. I wanted something smaller than my roller carry on for those shorter trips, in the smaller planes, so I didn't have to gate check my bag. So far, I really like this bag. I have learned to be a pretty efficient packer over the years, and can easily fit a weeks worth of business casual clothing in here. It has a good amount of space, and so far it has been small enough that I have not had to gate check it.I have seen reviews about the smell, which I halfway understand, I guess. When I first got the bag, yes it did have a smell to it. It wasn't overpowering, it didn't make me sick, and yes I understood that it was the naturally (not chemically) treated leather. I have a screened in back porch and left it out there for a few days. After that, no more smell.The color is a bit lighter than the photos, but according to the note that was included, and my experience with leather, it will get darker with age and use. Even though it is a bit lighter, it still looks very nice. The leather seems to be of good quality, even the strap. I was afraid at first that the strap would be sub-par, but it is right there with the rest of the bag.The ONLY reason that it did not get 5 stars is the zippers. They stick a little, which might be fixed with a little wax or something, The zipper pulls are also a little too small, in my opinion. For a bag this size, I would have liked some larger pulls.Other than that, I am happy that I bought this bag. If I had purchased it in a store somewhere, this would have easily been $200.

its a beautiful leather travel bag. Thick leader and carry-on friendly. fits perfect in the overhead bin.

The bag looks like a very well crafted piece of luggage. Great product. The only problem I have is with the DELIVERY.DRIVER who left the box 30 feet from the road in my driveway. Could have walked 30 more feet and left it at my doorstep.
