Dose job
Ideal to store away but not great for frying chips.

Ok for temporary use.
We didn't have a cooker in our new house for the first 2 weeks, so we purchased this in the mean time. It takes a long time to heat up and you can use only medium or small pots and pans. Bigger pots do not even boil on it! It was okay since I was only cooking for 2, but I do not think it will do for a bigger family. It is not energy efficient. It takes a lot of electricity, even more so than my freestanding cooker! More than twice the amount actually. It isn't easy to clean. I feel like it strains easier than a standard cooker. All in all, good for temporary use for maybe a couple of weeks. Wouldn't recommend this as a full time cooker at all.

Good for what it is
I bought this because we have just moved in to our new flat until I have enough money for an actual cooker. It gets hot but not as hot as you would like it to when cooking. But it gets the job done

Unsafe
This item is Chinese manufactured and sold by a Birmingham outlet calling itself Western International based in Smethwick, whose Technical Support department consists of an answering machine with rather bad music. The instruction book is minuscule with very small print alternating with upside down instructions in Arabic script. Packaging for delivery ensures the only way to extract the item is to damaged the packaging. Having got this far, I examined the underside, only to find a red insulated (i/e LIVE) wire in contact with one of the base ventilation holes, and not immediately moveable. The base will have to absorb a possibly 2000 watts heat and the insulation will undoubtedly melt over time. When it does the whole base will be live. From the way they handle Technical support queries, "Western International" looks like an ambitious name for a group of cowboys. In fact it is a one-man agency run by a Suhail Cheerachamveetil. Whoever he may be, (and he may well be just a victim of his suppliers) this example of his wares is unsafe and unacceptable.
