Good design. Very easy to clean by just sliding ...
Good design. Very easy to clean by just sliding the metal sheath up, emptying your tea leaves into the trash and rinsing from the top down will get rid of all the used leaves very quickly. Size and design allows it to either sit in smaller mugs or hang on the edge of larger ones. Zero complaints so far. Well worth the price.Update: I've been using this for 8-9 months now. It still works great and the only change I've noticed is that the metal sheath has loosened up a bit, but it still works just fine. I've learned the hard way that if you're doing multiple cups and want to refresh the loose leaf, make sure you rinse and then thoroughly dry the steeper. Water in some random places will cause the tea leaves to get stuck when you go to scoop up a fresh chamber and are a pain to clean, but this is not a black mark against the steeper or it's design at all. Just a hindrance to learn to avoid. Still highly recommended.

Better than it looks
Not sure if the description mentioned the sliding aspect of this... if not, it should. I was looking for something to take to travel (which is on the back-burner until we are a pandemic-free world). This works well to scoop loose tea when the slide is pulled back, then release, and it's covered. Easy to do with one hand (either one). It arrived in estimated time and will go with me, eventually. REALLY hope we can all look out for each other and stay home/away from others if we're feeling sick... and bosses realize it's better to pay their sick employees than have the come to work, sick.

Great...once you learn to use it
I have to admit, my initial impression was "meh," probably worth about 3 stars. But since I have figure out how to fill it correctly, I am pleased. The first several cups made with this infuser were too weak. So assuming it was under-filled, I then over-filled. The water probably couldn't move through the leaves because the tea was still too weak! But then, aha!...I filled the "trough" and then tipped the infuser up to shake the tea into the top of the opening until it's about 3/4 full, and THEN filled to level the remaining half cylinder, and there it was! A great cup of tea. It should also be noted that it steeps best if you agitate the infuser several times.Clean up is super easy: Just open the infuser, tap the tea out into the garbage and rinse. I now love it!

This Tea Infuser is Amazing
This thing is awesome. Recently I've purshesed a 25oz insulated water bottle for hot and cold and i could not find any tea infusers that are normal size that would fit it.. Since I've started brewing my loose tea at work about 9 months ago I found it that it tastes so much better than tea bag tea (even the same brand). This thing fits perfectly inside the thermos/bottle and allows me to pretty much brew my own tea anywhere i can get hot water which is super awesome. Recently I've also started drinking green tea for health benefits so now with this amazing tea infuser i am able to drink around 4 cups (around 50oz) of tea during my 8 hour workday.

Lasts better than the tea balls and bulbs
These are a little awkward to load but outlast the tea balls and bulbs. The holes are really fine and there are a lot of them to facilitate a good steep. Teas like chai do not leak out the smaller bits. The end is easy to grab and rests on the rim of larger mugs. These also make excellent stocking stuffers or small gifts.

It does the job, but im just not sure about the quality of the stainless steel. It scratches
It's super easy to use with the loose tea. My concern is that with several uses, the surface of it, especially where there's friction due to movement, now has some scratches. so I dont know if the metal is leaking certain elements, like heavy metal etc, into my tea.. It is a concern bcs I like to steep tea for a long time and if the metal is not safe, this tea drinking might be doing more harm than good. Im just super pleased wih the design and the ease of using. Just concerned with the quality of material.

holds enough for a small pot
I use these to make tea in 20-oz insulated travel mugs, just dip it in the loose tea, push down the sleeve, and pour hot water. Easy to clean, keeps all but the smallest debris out of my mug. Small diameter easily fits inside growler or thermos, not too tall to stand up in a cup. What's not to like?PS: Don't over-fill it, or when the tea expands it will be hard to dig out of the top! Been there. Done that. My bad.

A brilliant new design
This tea infuser is brilliant. Logical, beautifully designed, and eminently practical, it is a quantum leap beyond the old mesh baskets that we used to use. It is actually easier to use than the old baskets and easier to clean. And in terms of looks, it looks like a modern sculpture! One last thing -- it is the perfect infuser for brewing in a thermos. It's the only infuser we've found that will into the relatively narrow mouth of a thermos. Perfection.
