AeroSpace NYC: Savage & Serene

I really enjoyed both facets of the DVD. The "Savage" portion was wonderfully intense. The punching drills were a good way to work on fast, sharp striking. I'm not a jump-rope fan, and am still doing the basics during the portions where more advanced techniques are demonstrated. The squats at the end... ouch. Completing all four rounds is tough, but doable.Love the stretching component. It was a nice combo of basic yoga drills and some specific moves to release the tension in the lats from the punching drills.This is a great workout to include as a change-up in P90X, or if you can't get to your martial arts class.

This is a good workout, but it's more for people who have boxed and want a maintenance workout while they're on the road. I like it and use it on a regular basis.

I was hoping this was going to be cool boxing workout, but it was really dissapointing. No music at all. Just the main guy talking (not even while he is working out - dubbed over). The routine is very repetitive, not very inspiring, and too much of the same combinations. It was really hard to stay motivated throughout. It could be a good workout, but certainly not fun. I would not recommend this at all.

Was looking for a basic serious boxing video. Looking at the cover, googling the boxer, and seeing a previous review touring his voice as very motivating, I thought i would try this out.Was expecting an amped up DMX and got Usher trying to seduce me via slow jam. Very distracting to the point of hilarity. Pretty light on even basic technique and after he took his shirt off after the third round I was pretty much done with it.

You must own this DVD. It features the incomparable Michael Olajide, Jr. in the boxing or Savage portion and Lisa F. in the stretching or Serene portion.A warning - Olajide assumes that you already know how to box, and this DVD has no real instruction. If you need instruction, please try Kathy Smith - Cardio Knockout whcih features the AeroBox video.

Tough skipping and squats workout with some insane shadowboxing drills. Great stretching routine on the serene side. Overall a great workout DVD. Also Micheal Olajide jr has a great voice for keeping you motivated and the music really helps with your rhythm.

This was for my son and he loved the workout so much that when the first disk was lost, he had to get another copy.

I have all the Aero DVDS and I love this one. My favorite is still the boxing/ballet DVD, but this is wonderful too.
