Cute story!
Sarah has a flaw or does she? This is a cute retailing of Shakespeare's Roxanne. A coming of age story, how we perceive ourselves as to how others really see us. There were wonderful quotes at the beginning of each chapter here is one of my favorites: "I never saw an ugly thing in my life: for let the form of an object be what it may-light,shade, and perspective will always make it beautiful." by John Constable.Sarah and her best friend Kristen start the new school year the same as always, except for gorgeous Rockford is the new amazing guy in their high school. Rock is handsome, smart, attentive, and fun. Well Sarah and Kristen both have a crush on Rock. Sarah has rarely fallen for a guy, while her best friend Kristen goes through guys fairly quickly. Once Kristen has her eye's set on something it is full steam ahead, and since Sarah thinks they look good together and she loves her best friend she agrees to Kristen's scheming to catch Rock. This story was fun and light, but at the same time delves into the topics of appearances and liking ourselves the way we are and not giving into the social acceptable perfect looks. So what her nose is a little big, but does her nose have to define everything about her? Does it make her ugly? Who defines ugly? The writing flowed smoothly, the characters were interesting. I enjoyed the best friend relationship, how they were there for each other. Sarah is smart, funny and witty, and self sacrificing almost to a fault. Kristen is the fluffy, beautiful best friend. A quick fun, light story, with a point.fair amount of swearingclean romanceone brief underage beer party pretty mild

Flawless read, great lesson!
Sarah is a relatable senior in high school, stressed over the usual friends, flaws and boys. Flawless is an easy read and keeps you interested until the very end. Felt a lot like the movie 'Sara Burgess is a Loser' but with a bit more personal growth for this Sarah. There are great lessons in this book that I wish more girls learned earlier in life. Overall would recommend to any YA who likes fun with just a touch of drama.

A new Cyrano de Bergerac!
Flawless happens to be a retelling of the famous play Cyrano de Bergerac, which I haven't actually read or seen, but knew the basic premise. The story follows main character, Sarah Burke (the girl with the big nose). Sarah has been best friends with Kristen for years and that friendship is tested when Sarah falls big-time for Kristen's boyfriend, Rock Conway. I loved that going after what you want and remaining loyal to a friend were at constant odds in this novel and I think that the reason I liked it so much was that it was so utterly believable. Sarah's choices were gut-wrenching at times for her and I could totally see where she was coming from. Also, I must say that Rock Conway, the boy that Sarah has feelings for in the book, is an amazing character and I have a novel crush on him as well. It's rare that you see a guy character that is good-looking, intelligent, romantic, and cares how other people feel. I also really liked the cover of the book and thought it was very clever that the actual nose is missing on the cover so that you could see how truly beautiful Sarah is without her nose. The one person that should have supported Sarah the most, her mother, was at times a baffling character. I cannot fathom that a teenage girl's mom would leave her brochures about plastic surgery! Wow! I have no doubt that this kind of mother is out there though. It made it easier to understand why she is the way she is when you read the book though. I understand her better, but I don't condone how she treated her daughter at times. I think that this book will appeal to anyone that has something about them that they don't like. (I guess that probably is mostly everybody!) There is a huge (pun intended!) message in this book about accepting who you are that I think is a great message to be sending teens (and adults)!

Interesting revisit of Cyrano!
Overall I was not disappointed; the author managed to subvert my expectations most of the time and delivered an ending that didn't feel convenient or forced. There were some problems, mostly relating to how the author had Sarah handle the issues with her nose. There were awkward moments that were obviously meant to demonstrate how Sarah manages the teasing she receives thanks to her nose. these situations weren't awkward because Sarah was in them; they were awkward because they felt forced, and unnatural. It was a bit like seeing a magician perform a trick but knowing the exact mechanics of the trick. It takes away from the experience.

Adorable & Heartwarming
Oh, I loved this book. It was fantastic and the relationship between Sarah and Kristin was wonderful to see. As was her relationship with her MOM. Love that! You know what's going to happen in this story but it's so well written that you completely enjoy it as you are swept away.

Best book ever.
Love this book. There is not one thing bad about this book. This has to be about the 50th time I've read it. I wish I had a copy of it so I can continue reading it. But like I said I will forever love this book. ❤

Thoughtful YA Romance
This wasnt a typical YA romance, the main character wasnt a hopeless nerd waiting to be discovered. She had spunk and could speak for herself. I did feel the mother was a little too idealised! The best friend was a little too selfish. This did weaken the character, as she had to "not see" a fair amount about her friend and the main boy in the book. Even though the whole point was her learning to see more, I felt her blindness was a little overdone. I did enjoy the prose and the side story at her mothers work
