So far the camera works great. I had a few issues with video when connecting it at first but I think I just didn't twist connecting cable correctly because it works fine now after I went back to reconnect it and restart system.Update: 03-15-2025Camera is still working great. I'm thinking about replacing the other old 720p cameras I have with more 1080p cameras. Hopefully the price will still be reasonable next month. I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely want to order more of these cameras.

Just what i was looking for.

Sadly, I only purchased one of these as I wanted a wider angle than this model deliver so I purchased many of the similar model dome cameras. After fighting with the terrible performance of the dome cameras and making sure they had the latest firmware update I ended up installing this in the so-called "problem" location. This camera is clear and bright at night, which is where the dome cameras performed poorly. If you can live with a slightly more narrow field of view these cameras work great for your compatible Swann NVR. Going to save up to replace all the 12mp dome cameras with this model and it works the way you'd expect it to

They suggest bench testing the system before installation. This is a very important step for several reasons.. The 60' cords have a camera end and a DVR end. It isn't marked. When you have everything hooked up and operational on the bench, be sure to mark the camera base, the cord at the camera end and DVR end with the corresponding port it's plugged into on the DVR. Also mark the cord at the camera end with an easily recognizable identifier. I used GREEN electrical tape. If you're hiding the cords like I did, you don't want to pull 60 feet of cord through your attic, etc, only to find out you pulled the wrong end.I've finished my installation but haven't dived into the manual yet (dreading this part). Typically what I think are FAQ don't jive with what the mfg thinks I want to know first. The cams in this system have a built in light that can be turned on/off by the app but I'd like it to come on with motion. Adjusting the amount of motion to trigger a recording and notification should be easily found... I haven't come across it yet. Currently I have cobwebs and blowing leaves triggering the system.

I replaced my old camera that stopped working . It's the same brand if I had to complain about something it would be the cable coming out of the camera it is about 6 inches shorter then my old one so I had to put the camera in another place inorder to reach. What a pain in the butt

Let me let me start off by saying I have always loved Swan View products but when I ordered this camera along with a set of used cameras and a DVR I did hook them up I did try them I don't know if it was the DVR and the cameras some of the picture would come through but there was a static through the DVR and you could not hear the two-way talk on the cameras I was very disappointed after I returned the cameras and the DVR and I got my refund back if it wasn't for me removing that card off of my Prime they tried to charge me the full price of the products again I returned the products exactly how I received them I had called customer service before returning them

Got it today which was early by 3 days and I was able to hook it up immediately and it worked it replaced the one I had out I am thoroughly happy pictures Chris everything is great thank you again
