Redmi K20 (Flame Red, 6GB RAM, 64GB Storage)

Bought this phone for abt 13k with all the offers and exchanging my old phone, but honestly, even without the offer and exchange, it's an amazing value for money purchase. The phone has a Snapdragon 730, which, contrary to common knowledge is faster than the Snapdragon 835 in almost every case, and is also more efficient as this processor is based on an 8 nm manufacturing process, whereas the 835 is based on a 10nm process, this processor performance is between Snapdragon 835 and 845. The cameras were not as good on miui 10, but with great software updates, comes great picture post processing, producing amazing pictures and videos, with great quality and detail and a great dynamic color palette. The build quality is exceptional, right down to the great design on the flame red and glacier blue variants, to the glass body feel, which was sadly replaced by my phone cover. Warning for People with OCD, this thing smudges like crazy on the back. Over all, an amazing phone, with a great screen to body ratio, an amazing super amoled display, and a camera worth every penny. No need to even mention the amazing support this phone has in the Custom Roms Community.

SD 730 works smooth, display and build quality is fantastic. Gorilla glass 5 protection to both back and front. The AMOLED display is pretty good, always on display is present and can be customised. Camera quality is absolutely fine, has a dedicated night mode as well. Still one of the best 4G phone to use in 2021 considering the price, I got the 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage variant for 16.8k. Battery backup is average, 4000 mAh battery will last a day on moderate usage. Under display fingerprint sensor works fine with an accuracy of 95% almost, face unlock is useless, takes too much time for the front camera to pop up and unlock the device. The bottom firing single speaker is quite loud. If you are not conserned about 5G now, this is the best device out in the market for media consumption within this price range. Overall a complete package. Thanks to Amazon, got this for under 17k, the same variant of Redmi K20 is still priced at 25k on Flipkart.

I used this phone for more than a month now..Pros:Great display excellent experience with high quality videosComfortably getting the battery for 2 days for a single charge for normal usagePicture quality is great and beyond my expectationCons:Even for a minimal dust also finger print sensor is not getting recognizedAfter adding the screen protectors, the time taken for authentication is increased for finger print to senseSometimes in VoLTE mode the caller can't hear your voiceOverall its a good phone with decent quality with abundant features at this price range of 17KI am very happy with my decision :)My suggestion: Since there is no extendable memory, better to go for 128 GB to avoid regrets in future.

Realized a few things the hard way:1. Antutu banchmark is one thing, user experience is another.2. 4000 MAh battery does not necessarily mean good backup if the OS is not optimized.3. Bloatwares are an underestimated pain, they are those mosquitoes that tease you in your face with their annoying humm, and when you cant remove them, the helplessness is torturous.4. Gone are the days when camera quality was directly proportional to camera Megapixel.5. Notification light is only useful when you can SEE that.6. Having non expandable 64 gb can be troublesome in the long run even if you are not a pro user.7. If marketing is really good, you do 'believe the hype' and buy an overpriced mediocre ambitions-killer.

Thumbs up to - Amazing Audio PerformanceThumbs down to - Poor camera performance (all cameras suck)Pros -1. like the rounded edges of the display (viewing area).2. Battery backup is surprisingly good - lasts atleast 2 days with 8+ hours screen on in total (not tested with 4G, use Wifi 8 hours in total)3. Audio is good, hi-res audio performance is good.4. Speakers and mic are very good - very well pronounced5. Device does not heat up with demanding apps and while quick charging - This is good, it takes about 2 hrs for full charge from 1% to 100%Cons -1. Installing any screen protector will reduce the finger print sensors ability to quickly unlock (i had to delete profiles several times, other things that matter - sweaty hands, rough fingers all matter - The technology is still to evolve)2. Front Facing camera sucks, extremely poor image output - This is a big disappointment.3. Back cameras too suck big time, grainy and the software is buggy does heavy post processing. - Older versions of Mi phones had better back camera and far better optics4. Slow motion video is a joke !! 2 seconds only due to hardware limitation, workaround use 120 FPS for longer videos5. Screen flickers while browsing (very poor refresh rate, very prominent while browsing at max brightness)6. Body is prone to scratches, by design, you must either use provided back case or buy one outside7. MIUI sucks, dont install any upgrades, it slows the phone down.8. The pre-loaded apps are burned into the ROM, like music, app installer, mi pay and other junk (which eat up compute resources - there are no inbuilt options to disable or uninstall those) - remember you cannot add storage to your device.9. The light sensors are buggy in this phone, could be s/w glitch, it never saves your settings beyond a day, however the ambient sensors work fine and are pretty responsive.
