Great socks!
My shoe size is 12 wide and the large size quarter height socks fit perfectly. There's not much room for them to shrink, so gotta be careful not to let them sneak into the dryer. They're coming out of the washer spin cycle pretty dry. Hanging them overnight does the trick. They're worth the minor extra effort of hanging them overnight. My feet feel drier and smell better at the end of the day with these than with cotton socks. They're warm, too. They are fine for wearing with sneaks on the daily, and can be doubled up with waterproof boots to shovel snow etc. Can't speak to durability yet. But if they are reasonably durable I'll definitely get more when they wear out. I like that they're made in the US.

Still wearing after 10 years. Like new!
I bought four pair in 2015 for about $25. Iiked them so much that in 2019 I bought four more pair for now $35. It is 2025 and all eight pair are going strong, indistinguishable from each other unless I closely inspect them. While I have had a bit of sticker shock seeing how the price has changed over the six years since I last made my purchase, their durability makes it worth it. They are comfy and warm. I should note I bought a different brand a few years ago (it will go unnammed) and LOVED those socks when they were new, the elastic in those wore out after a few years, even though they were more expensive. Now those socks sag down to my ankles. The much older, and more often worn, People Socks, still stay up like the day I bough them. These are great socks.

Great, Warm Knock-Around Socks
So I found these in my closet as winter set in and realized I never wrote a review after buying them in 2019. They're still perfectly good. Great knock-around socks, very thick and warm, high percentage of merino wool. I don't wear them with shoes generally but they're perfect for very cold days at home and wearing around on the patio, etc. I can see them being excellent in a workboot or similar, but I just like them for comfort and they've been very durable. I used to wear them daily in my apartment in chilly New York and am still busting them out around the holidays in Arizona.

Great socks. One is smaller than the others.
These are warm and comfortable. They stay up as well. Which is a big plus. The only thing is that I ordered two packs of 4 pairs each. And out of those 16 total socks, one sock is smaller than the others. That means I now have 15 total socks after paying for 16. Would be 5 starts otherwise.

Durable, dryer, breaths best.
Less itchy, breaths and dries quicker. Cushioning. Best boot sock I've ever had, and I served overseas in combat boots. Holds up for years, and I replace them before they wear out.. sorry I dont test harder, but these were affordable and the dryer slowly leaches fabric... but they dont fail before I am comfortable replacing them. 12 hr days, half the week plus OT, on concrete, at least two years of service before "I" rotate them out and new one in. I save the old ones for just in case... as they are still serviceable. They should aim for a government contract.

Great socks!!
I've been wearing merino wool socks, full time, for about 3 years. I used to only wear them hiking, but they really are so much more comfy than cotton that on one of my annual sock swaps I decided to bite the bullet and go wool.(for a couple decades I've been throwing away and replacing all of my, daily wear/work, socks once a year) Gotta say I'm pretty surprised to still be wearing socks I bought 3 years ago(not these socks) and have them still be more comfy than new cotton. I know I just started my review with a digression, but I wanted to get a few points out about wool socks that seem to be on the minds of some and address some misgivings about year round wool sock wear. I'm a carpenter. I'm on my feet all day, every day. I work pretty hard and I get pretty hot, but even on the hottest days of summer my feet are no warmer in wool than cotton, just more comfortable. Wool insulates well. In the winter it will help keep your body heat in. In the summer, in a pair of leather boots/shoes, it doesn't make a spit of difference what your socks are made of, your feet are gonna be hot. The big thing for me is that wool is naturally antimicrobial. I used to get a healthy funk in my work boots and, sometimes very painful,...... uhmmmmm, unwanted colonies of bacteria and/or fungus? on my feet. Not so, since I went wool. Finally: These are really nice socks. I'm about 20 or so washes in and they're doing just fine. They don't have all the bells and whistles, fancy stitching, venting panels, etc. of far more expensive units, but they're far less expensive, well constructed, durable and made right here in the "Good Ole". I will say that at a size 10.5US, these were a little loose right off, but after a few washes they shrunk considerably, which is common in wool. At this point they go on a bit snug, but relax to match the shape of my foot, without stretching or bunching, very well. All told, I love wool socks and these are a fine offering.

AWESOME socks! Great Price!
Standard for all my reviews: When reviewing products, I always remain objective and honest about the product or service. I always review with information that I feel others would like to know about the product as I always assume what I'm writing will influence for or against the purchase. I always try to go above and beyond surface characteristics and input into quality, value and application. Most importantly, I will always end the review with an answer as to whether I'd purchase the product again which I believe is the most critical question pertaining to the item. To manufacturers: Want me to review your items, just let me know! I LOVE these socks! I'm not a huge hiker but do hike on occasion. We went to New Zealand for three weeks and I wanted a few pairs of nicer hiking socks but didn't want to break the bank. These socks are great! I truly mean that. The fit of the socks is perfect for my size 11s. The feel great, don't bunch/sag, are thick for hiking but so soft as to provide another layer of cushioning to your foot. They also don't seem to retain any moisture and, in a pinch if needed, I found that I could wear these socks more than once without washing if we were doing a lot of hiking and didn't have access for laundry. It seemingly didn't matter if I wore these socks multiple days or not, they always felt and smelled like I hadn't worn them before. These aren't 100% Merino wool but you'll never know the difference. I'd almost like to purchase another package of these socks because the price is so good and it would be nice to have them on hand just in case. I lost one sock during our trip and I felt really sad about it. That says something about how much I like these socks. Purchase these, you won't regret it.

S/M size smaller than it used to be
I bought the same size of these socks (S/M) last year and they fit my feet perfectly. So I bought the same size again after waiting forever for them to come back in stock, and they were too small. I had to return. I didn’t think the quality looked as good either. Seemed thinner. This was the absolute best wool sock brand I have ever tried for my feet, so I am extremely disappointed. I would have given a 5 star review for the previous ones I bought. They were the warmest, best moisture-wicking for my sweaty cold feet. I wore them daily, year-round. Now they are threadbare and I can’t replace them.
