Fabulous!!!!
5++++++ stars! This book was superb! I wish I had known about it at the time of release because I found pictures of a photo shoot online that brought everything to life. Some of those photos should have been included in the ebook.I loved how everything unfolded slowly and each chapter revealed a new part of Ravenna’s story. It was brilliant of Ms. Sivec to close each chapter with “My name is Ravenna Duskin. I am eighteen years old, and I live in a prison………” along with a new revelation attached. At the end, Ms. Sivec states that she got inspiration from the history of the Ohio State Reformatory. Think Shawshank Redemption. Yup. That prison. If you read this, I encourage you to seek out the pictures from the photo shoot on Ms. Sivec’s Instagram page once you’ve finished the book.

A Must Read
Let me start off by saying this is NOT a love story. No love story entwined where the two will run off in the sunset holding hands. This is not full of rainbows and unicorns that will make you smile. Not. At. All.What this story is is a dark thrilling mystery. It is pure torture. From the moment you start to read this book, you will be confused. You will insist on knowing what the heck is happening and why. Be patient young grasshopper, all good things come to those who wait. You will get some answers, you will figure out most of what is going on.... Then, well, then the fun begins. This story is about a girl who lives in a prison. She has visions or flashbacks of her life that make no sense. Her gut feelings make no sense. Her parents make no sense. Are you noticing a theme here?I couldn't put this book down. I wanted to figure out the clues on my own. I did figure a few things out, but they didn't make any sense to me, so I knew they were wrong. They couldn't be right because then I would be even more lost. Are you understanding me? Am I making sense? If you are a dark psychological thriller junkie like me, you are going to love this book. If you are looking for something to torture your soul, definitely read this book. If you are looking for a page-turning, you can't put the book down kind of story, read this one. If you are looking for something to kill all of the unicorns and wipe away all of the rainbows you have recently been reading, read this book. Basically, just read this book.

Hauntingly Twisted!
I realize you have probably been forewarned, but for shirts and giggles I’m going to do it again. This book is NOTHING like what you may have grown accustomed to with Tara Sivec’s other works. But you know the funny thing? The woman is a chameleon; constantly changing. So even as I make that statement I realize that with each series or standalone, none of her works are similar. Whether they be humor, suspense, erotic, contemporary, and everything in between. For genre’s sake though, Bury Me is strictly suspense. I went into this thinking there would be some romance tossed in, as I have grown to love that no matter what is happening with her characters, she never forgets the romantic aspect. I couldn’t have been more wrong with this book though. And the funny thing is, I didn’t even miss it. I was so enthralled with what was going on and trying to figure out the secrets that I didn’t even miss it. Me, the romance junkie, didn’t miss the romance. I actually believe that if she had upped the romance factor it would have done a disservice to the story. Because like the above quote from the book states, Ravenna is NOT a good girl. I digress…all in due time. While there are a ton of little bombs that will drop, I will say there are two huge ones that really stood out for me and shaped the entire story. Even though I guessed them pretty early on, the road to get to the end and see if I was correct was well traveled. Sivec excels in pulling you in early and forcing you to care deeply for her characters. Even though I grew to hate one in particular halfway through, I still found myself rooting for them. I wanted to be wrong. Oh how I wanted to be wrong. And when I wasn’t, it just solidified that hatred. Because some people are just inherently evil. Some people are born to excel at the game of cat and mouse and no matter what you try to change, they will always play around with people as if they were toys. But oh, how it is fun to read about!Sivec pulls all the punches in this book and doesn’t hold back in the slightest. And I love that she is so balls to the wall. Because even when you hate some of her characters, you care what happens to them too. It’s a double edged sword of indecision. It’s a game I never want to win, because no matter how much she tortures me, I will always come back for more. It’s a delicious, sweet, tantalizing, and haunting torture. One you grow addicted to in only a way that she can deliver. This book only solidified that for me. Bravo!

PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER THAT WILL KEEP YOU GUESSING ALONG THE WAY.
Ravenna is eighteen and lives in a prison with her parents. Ravenna struggles to regain her memory from suffering a two day coma. Its got an eerie feeling to it. Ravenna is trying to ask the questions that need answers for what happened to her. Ravenna questions everyone she knows. But all anyone keeps informing her is that she is a good girl.Something is brewing inside that prison. Some secret Ravenna discovered that is hidden.I find the story is challenging trying to unravel the secrets. Not just unknown information about Ravenna but the true secrets inside the prison. It's a dark story. It's quite different from Tara's other stories and that's what is appealing to me. I love the feeling of being watched and falling off the edge. It's creepy and alluring.I'm super thrilled Tara wrote this psychological thriller. It's challenging finding good stories and when a favorite and familiar author writes a story this good it's a bonus. I'm anxiously awaiting on pins and needles as the truth unfolds. This was twisted and evil. I'm having weird thoughts about the epilogue to this story. It's demented. It's so bad it's good. Great writing. I was not too surprised by the unveiling. I thought it was clever and disturbing. It all made sense in the end. I'm more worried about my frame of mind because I enjoyed it.Psychological thriller that will have you guessing along the way. It's a standalone.

UTTERLY BRILLIANT.First read by this author I know the book was released in 2015, I only found it yesterday, I picked it up to read last night, I really wish I had waited until today, because I was still sitting here at 3 am reading it. I finally finished it half an hour ago, what a total mind f888, The author took us on an unbelievable ride of tension, angst anger and not knowing where the next hit was coming from, I love the dark reads with one hell of a twist and boy did this fit the bill. Ravenna / Tatiana what a story she weaved, the shocks just kept on coming. My heart broke for this poor girl and what she had been put through, no fault of her own, made to pay for what adults had done.I won't say to much about the plot as if you haven't read it, it will spoil it, go in blind.#FABULOUS

Just not my cup of tea..
Well, I have discovered that I am not a fan of…whatever this book is! Considering the labyrinth of mystery in Bury Me, I have tried not to add any spoilers. Just be aware that there may be slight nudges that could give you an idea of what unfolded in this story. So yes two stars, purely for Tara Sivecs epic ability to write so well. I know I’m one of few who didn’t enjoy this book, I can understand that. Ravenna is skillfully crafted, and chillingly captivating. While the other characters I found weak, but likable – they made for a good comparison of just what was growing inside Ravenna, with every memory she gained back, and every instinct she followed. The story itself was gripping and suspenseful – if your into that kind of thing – So, yeah. Had it ended differently, I may have liked it more. But it pushed so hard against everything that makes me, me.. I just couldn’t like it.But don’t hold back. This is just my small view. If you enjoy dark mysteries that are crafted so that even when the veil is lifted, and the story line turns out to be somewhat… predictable… you still didn’t see it coming.

Dark, Graphic, Mysterious & Suspenseful
Well... That was bloody brilliant! At first I was like WTF...?Then I was like... Oh! I totally get it.Then I was like... WTF...? I was so wrong.I went into Bury Me by Tara Sivec blind. I do this with all my favourite authors. I avoid teasers & excerpts like the plague. My favourite thing about Tara Sivec is she can write like the devil. Every genre, every story tackled with precision & just pure awesome. The moment she posted the photoshoot pics for the cover I knew I was hooked. There will be little details on the actual story events in this review, as I think even a hint at what happens is too much, read the blurb, read the book :)The story unravels like a puzzle piecing together the truth.I loved how invested I got in the story and how much I loved Ravenna's inner voice. Every thought in her head surprised me and made me read faster. She was pretty fantastic actually. Not for fragile readers but it isn't riddled with triggers either.Just dark, graphic, mysterious and suspenseful.
