We found out the crackling was due to a bad wire to the speaker. These mics are very good! Original review: Two microphones are crackling very loudly whenever their used. We have tried everything from fresh batteries to ensuring the connection is tight. Still Crackles! It's awful! Review: Too much static - I bought this for a meeting room to hook to an amp and speakers so everyone in the room can hear. I originally mounted the microphone receiver at the back of the room 20 feet from the microphones. The static was unbearable and it was unusable. I then moved the receiver to the conference table with the microphones. It still has some static, just not as bad. The microphone receiver is no more than 8 feet away from the furthest microphone and there is still static and it’s very annoying. The system is totally unusable. Tech support wasn't any help to solve the problem. After explaining how these are completely useless for us, they offered me a $10 refund. Ridiculous. I’m not happy at all with it. ## Features - Crystal-Clear Transmission: Engineered for interference-prone environments: Our 8-channel UHF wireless conference microphone features 4 professional antennas and advanced PLL technology that automatically filters out wireless interference. Whether it's a packed conference hall or an outdoor event with multiple devices, you get consistent, dropout-free audio without the hassle of frequency hunting. - Individual Volume Control & Easy Pairing: Fine-tune your sound mix in seconds: Each of the 8 channels has its own dedicated volume knob, letting you balance speakers without complex menu diving. The red LED indicators show pairing status at a glance—green for ready, red for unpaired—so setup takes minutes, not hours. - Professional Integration Systems: Built for real-world AV setups: The metal-chassis receiver provides 8 balanced XLR outputs plus a 1/4" mixed output—compatible with any sound system, from compact powered speakers to large-format mixing consoles. Simply connect to your amplifier or mixer and you're ready to go. - 200FT Stable Wireless Range: Designed for large venues without signal worries: Operating on 500-600MHz UHF with 2 fixed frequency sets, this system delivers a clear 200ft (60m) line-of-sight range—enough to cover ballrooms, lecture halls, and outdoor ceremonies. Full FCC compliance means no legal concerns, just plug-and-play confidence. - All-in-One 8-Mic Setup: Everything you need for large meetings in one box: Includes 8 gooseneck condenser microphones with stable desk bases and the 8-channel receiver. Each flexible gooseneck adjusts 360° for precise positioning—ideal for boardrooms where speakers change frequently or panels with multiple participants. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07ZH4V17H | | Antenna Location | Singing, Streaming | | Audible Noise | 3 db | | Audio Sensitivity | 80 db | | Best Sellers Rank | #69,193 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #702 in Handheld Wireless Microphones & Systems | | Brand | XTUGA | | Built-In Media | amplifier, microphone, power_adapter, user_manual | | Color | black | | Compatible Devices | Amplifier, Tablet | | Connectivity Technology | XLR | | Connector Type | XLR | | Customer Reviews | 3.8 out of 5 stars 37 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Metal | | Frequency Response | 40 KHz | | Item Dimensions | 22.83 x 14.96 x 6.69 inches | | Item Highlight | UHF Fixed Frequency,Auto Scan,PLL Locked,Professional Conference Mics for Conferences Room/Lecture/Church/Public Speaking | | Item Weight | 6 kg | | Manufacturer | Made in China | | Mfr Part Number | 897451230 | | Microphone Form Factor | Gooseneck | | Model Name | CM280 | | Model Number | CM280 | | Number of Batteries | 2 AA batteries required. | | Number of Channels | 8 | | Polar Pattern | Unidirectional | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Recommended Uses For Product | Singing, Streaming | | Signal-to-Noise Ratio | 3 db | | Special Feature | Volume Control | | UPC | 699966920400 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** XTUGA - **Color:** black - **Compatible Devices:** Amplifier, Tablet - **Connectivity Technology:** XLR - **Connector Type:** XLR - **Included Components:** amplifier, microphone, power_adapter, user_manual - **Model Name:** CM280 - **Polar Pattern:** Unidirectional - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Singing, Streaming - **Special Feature:** Volume Control ## Images ![XTUGA 8 Channel Wireless Conference Microphone System,Gooseneck Mics(CM280) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61wF1D1-Z7L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Crackling *by D***S on February 6, 2024* My original review was wrong.
