Lived initially in a state that did not have the requirement for a front license plate and later moved to California and had misplaced my factory front license plate holder that I got with the vehicle when it was new. Yes, Law Enforcement will pull you over in California for not having a front license plate – they could care less about the people going 85 MPH on the freeway, but if you don’t have a front license plate – you are going to get pulled over. I got this for my 2016 VW EOS and it fit perfect. It is well made, had good hardware that all lined up, and had nice brass inserts that you bolt your license plate too. Would highly recommend this plate holder as it is well made, gets the job done, and is a fraction of the price of getting one from the dealership. Only had to drill two very small pilot holes in the front bumper to attach the plastic holder to the bumper with the two supplied pan head sheet metal screws.

Everything was fine until I tried to put the screw in and the holes on the bracket did not line up with the holes on my plate. I live in California so I don't know if they will line up with holes on plates from other states but they are not in sync with California plates. I started a return and had to pay shipping.
