Functions as advertised
I have a 36 XPro, but it does not give exact answers (irrational and complex) to non-factorable polynomials. This does both. It is light, just 4.7 ounces with the cover. It uses 2-CR2032 batteries. The 36 uses only one. Calculator arrived with batteries almost dead. I changed them, and all is well. Came by US mail one week before it was expected. Screen is crisp and free of blurriness. Functionally, it's the same as the 36 XPro. If you can use that one easily, there is no learning curve. I teach in a high school. TIs are the popular choice for SAT prep. This cannot be used on the ACT due to its CAS capability, which is actually the number one reason to have it - decreasing the likelihood of computational error.

Calculator for FE exam
Just what you’d expect.

Hands down best scientific calculator I've used
It's a shame it has to be imported. Took a couple months to get to me but well worth the wait!

Mushy buttons
I bought this as an “upgrade” to my TI-36x Pro. Visually the calculator has a better display, buttons are easier to read, and is faster. The buttons require more force input and many times miss my button presses. This is a huge downside for me. It has been my daily for about 3 months now, and I am still going to keep using it.

Works perfectly
Was a little skeptical but this is now my favorite calculator. I'm excited to use it for th FE exam at some point. Works like a charm ✨️ it's very thim and lightweight as well which at first I thought made it felt cheap but now I realize it's just made better lol

Great FE/PE calc
It's annoying that they don't sell this in the US. Much better display on the MathPrint than the TI-30X.

Great for engineering classes and great overall calculator
I've bought this calculator to replace my ti-36x pro. Shocking I had to import a Texas instruments from Europe, but very nice keys and very solid construction. Very big fan of it looking like a ti-84 ce. None of the manuals are in English so heads up on that, but if you have used the ti-36x pro then you should be perfectly fine.

European Model of the US TI 36X Pro
I owned the TI 36X Pro for many years but was not a huge fan of it because it looks like it belongs in the hands of kids going through primary school. The silver keys ( X / - + ) are also a big minus. The display looks a bit clunky but for $20.00 what does one expect. Looks are deceiving though. The calculator is powerful in the right hands. The TI 30X Pro Math Print definitely has better looks. The silver keys are gone and the results are simplified in exact instead of approximate answers. It also has a faster chip which returns results faster than the 36X Pro depending on the complexity of the problem. The display is crisper in that the characters don’t look pixelated. The one con I find in the TI 30X Pro is that the keys seem a bit mushy compared the the 36X Pro. The 36X Pro seems a bit crisper and I don’t find myself having to input a number twice. But overall the TI 30X Pro has the same functionality as the TI 36X Pro.For the money, I would stick the the TI 36X Pro unless you just hate how it looks. But personally I wouldn’t spend the extra money for the 30X Pro (it’s double the money) and pay for overseas shipping. If you’re looking for something comparable to the TI 36X Pro in the US than I would consider the Casio FX-991ex.It has a nicer display and will simplify in exact answers. It’s also cheaper than the 36X Pro.

ulepszony TI36X-pro z 2018, najwyższy model kalkulatorów inżynierskich TI z panelem słonecznym
Nowsza, ulepszona wersja TI36X-pro, dostępna od 2018. Pod pewnymi względami lepsza od kultowego Casio Fx-991EX. Obsługa zaawansowanych funkcji trochę mniej intuicyjna niż wzmiankowany Casio.Do korzystania z pełni funkcji NIEZBĘDNE jest przeczytanie instrukcji.Najwyższy model Texas Instruments z tych, którym wystarcza do pracy mała bateria i ogniwo fotowoltaiczne.Dobrze wykonana obudowa, precyzyjne klawisze, podstawka i kalkulator z gumowymi "nóżkami" - dobra jakość wykonania.

Fantastic, but is it better than a Casio fx-991?
I took the plunge and ordered one from Europe as the UK never seem to have them in stock. The instruction pamphlets are in French Italian and German, but don't let that put you off if you only speak English as everything about the calculator (as far as I've found so far) is in English, and there's comprehensive manuals, in many languages, on TI's website too. This isn't my first TI calculator, I've collected quite a few over the years. My main one still being a battered old TI-84 Plus, but I also use a TI-30X Pro (Multiview) which this new one is, I'm guessing, the successor to.It's got a lovely clear screen and it feels light (but not cheap). The keys are exactly the same as the Multiview so I've had no issues adjusting to the Mathprint one. Annoyingly, the comma is a 2nd function of a key rather than a first, which does bug me a little at times - but that's probably just me being old and used to having the comma key above the 7. A round of applause please for TI for making a non-graphing calculator that looks sleek and modern. It's been about 20 years since they last managed that.So is it better than a Casio FX-991? I've only got the older 991ES for comparison, but I'd say yes - it's way better than the one of those. Whether this would be a better choice than a 991 Classwizz for someone currently at school/college/university in the UK I couldn't really say as, although I'd rather have one, I think Casio have a much stronger grip on the education market over here and the teachers are able to provide better support to students that have a Casio. For an adult - yes, I'd 100% recommend one of these. For a student - speak to the educating body first.
