Travel Spice Kit by Grapevine Trading

Can't say enough about these spices, available in such a beautifully compact package. Must own for a spice collector, or for someone looking for a cupboard in a paperback sized package to take on travels. You will need to be careful when opening. When using, lay each tin firmly flat on a surface while lifting the lid bit by bit around the top. There will be some spill and the tin is fragile. But Inside is an overflowing amount of all the spice one could want, for even the occasional home user. I do wish they included onion powder instead of one of the regionally inspired combinations. This is not perfect - but it's a five star a purchase with some appropriate care in use. Well done to the manufacturers. Grateful for the product.

interesting spices... different from other travel-kit collections of spices in that it (a) is about 50% spice mixes--Italian spices, BBQ spices, curry, etc. and (b) has odd spices like nutmeg, but not common ones like sage.Would make good gift for travelling foodie.

I brought this on a beach trip where we rented a house. It was so useful to have for cooking our own meals- I plan to bring it everytime we go camping or rent a house on vacation.

We travel a lot and don't eat out all that much if we can help it. These kits are nice and small. When abroad cooking in a makeshift kitchen, good spices are worth their weight in gold. Life is too short to eat bland food. Tried to send some out as Christmas gifts, but the item was "out of stock". I sincerely hope this is a temporary issue, because this kit is delicious and compact for campers, boating, during a move... LOVE it!!

Good spice selection. They are really packed in those little tins so be careful opening them lest you spill them everywhere. I will always travel with these. Makes extended hotel stays and dreary food more exciting.

I bought 3 of these: I gave one to a sailor, one to a camper and one to a traveller, who were all big foodies and all thought it was a fabulous gift. But I was frustrated because upon examining it - clearly it could have been so much better. I agree with the previous poster - Why didn't they seal the package for a traveller? Why didn't they seal it at all? Why wouldn't that occur to someone sending spices - yes, a food item? And yes, several of our little unsealed containers leaked spices into the unsealed box. And the three I got had expiration dates very close to the date I received them. So as gifts, they became more of a novelty item than a really unique & useful present. Too bad. But I'll make my own. We go car camping a couple of times of year and love cooking over the fire and camp stove. This kit keeps all the spices together and dry. It has become a permanent part of our camping gear.
