I chose this licorice because the ingredients don't state high fructose corn syrup. The candy quality is excellent for it's value, very soft yet sturdy and fresh tasting.

I bought these as a gift and was blown away by the value and quality of these. They are the perfect size and have the best amount of chewy and hard for black licorice. The licorice arrived fresh and super tasty! I have never seen these before and thought these were just adorable.

Great licorice flavor and texture

I love licorice. But it is so hard to find gf licorice. This brand is very tasty, soft but chewy. Hubby even likes it better than the non GF licorice. Wish it came in more sustainable packaging.

its not my favorite black licorice but it's really good. on the sweeter side a bit but not overwhelming

I just purchased the Gimbal's Scottie Dog Black Licorice. I LOVED the original flavor of this licorice. These are NOT the same flavor that I have been receiving over the past years. The recipe has changed! Awful! Very Sweet and not the rich black licorice flavor that these used to be. They don't really taste like black licorice. After I ate one, I looked at the package. There is a sticker over the bar code that shows a new bar code and the words "Real licorice root and pure Anise". If you loved the original flavor, you will be very disappointed with these! I will not purchase again, and I am hoping that some other company has not purchased Gimbal's Black Licorice Scottie Dogs and is now using this new horrible recipe.
