No bugs! See through! Not hot!
As you can see, the tent doesn’t block the vire either from the inside or the outside. I was a bit afraid it would look like a black-walled orb, but thankfully, you can easily see through it. I like to garden and hated to think of blocking the view to all my hard work—but it’s all good! And the mesh of the walls is super fine—so no no-seeums, gnats or mosquitoes can make their way in. The 8” of fabric around the edges allows for keeping the bugs out too, if you lay it out with common sense where there are no gaps.We live in Dallas, TX, so we added sand bags to the tent’s built-in hooks and used most of the stake lines because WIND, y’all. We had a big storm with 50+mph winds and 3 inches of rain and this tent stayed right in place. (So, don’t be an idiot—use the stakes and weigh it down, otherwise you have no one to blame but yourself if it goes air born.) Some sides dipped in—but that’s good—as it allowed the rain to run off of the roof and down the sides rather than pooling in the middle and weighing straight down. I highly recommend popping in a side of you leave on vacation to ensure run off.Oh, and there are handy hooks around the inside so you can hang up string lights! You lose some breeze, but the no bugs is worth the trade off. That’s what fans are for.We purchased the 15x15’ to cover most of our patio, which is conveniently round—and you can see we have a loveseat, couch, ottoman—and we’re going to squeeze in the matching chair (removing the deck box). So you’ve got room in this thing. (Forgive the messiness inside—we were pulling in pool toys to avoid them flying away, too, in that storm.)There are 2 doors so you can easily walk through. The ceiling is probably 7.5-8’. My husband is 6‘3“ and I was very conscious of making sure we had something that he could easily move around in. The walls are slightly angled inward, but if you have furniture in there, you definitely won’t be coming up against them. It is definitely more orb shaped than triangular.Yes, it’s not cheap—but you don’t have to cover yourself in Deet, or—unlike with a Thermocell—you can eat around it safely (PSA: you can’t have uncovered food around a Thermocell per their own instructions). So eating summer meals with no flies is also fabulous. So is not needing to re-shower if you want to go back outside at night for awhile (so you aren’t having to spray down again, then re-showering to ensure you don’t get Deet or essential oils on your indoor furniture or sheets at bedtime, because unhealthy for the first case and not pleasant smelling in both cases). It’s also a win for keeping chemicals off your kids as much as possible. And same goes if you’re pregnant.Like I said—not cheap—but sooooo well thought out and worth it. Think of all the bug spray, Thermocell refills, citronella candles, etc., that you WON’T be buying. It might just even out price-wise by summer’s end.

If you are trying to be outside this is tent you need for the Summer Heatwave.
This tent has quickly become my go-to for picnics and baseball games, and it's fantastic! Its lightweight design is a huge plus; it's so easy to carry with the shoulder strap, freeing up my hands for other things.Setting it up and packing it away is incredibly simple, even by myself (I’m 5’5 and didn’t need any assistance). It unfolds easily less than 2 minutes and tucks back into its compact size with no fuss in less than 5 minutes. No struggling required, which is a lifesaver after a long HOT day out. The netting provides protection from the bugs but also allows for a breeze to filter thru. I can fit 6 portable chairs in it comfortably without everyone feeling as if they are on top of one another. It comes with the straps, stakes, and storage bag.Just a heads-up: be a little careful when opening it! It tends to pop open with some force once released from its folded position. It's not a big issue, but it's something to be aware of so you don't accidentally bump anything or anyone.Overall, this tent is a winner. Its portability, ease of use, and practical additions make it an ideal companion for any summer outing. You'll love the convenience it brings!

So Fast to deploy
Product arrive in a box. They had it twisted in a circle which was actually smaller than the included storage bag. This was because they had managed to put a few more twists in the screen tent than you will when you roll/twist it up. (For cheaper shipping, I presume) I untied the strap and allowed the tent to self deploy. That took a second. Then I had to separate the sections. That took several seconds. I jumped through the door and moved the panels to the perimeter. Done in 20 seconds. Sure, stakes would make it stay put, but it's ready to do battle with the bugs in less time than the argument with your spouse about where it should go. How durable is it? looks to be light weight and minimal. But it gives no early indication of being "Cheap".

Outdoor Event use
This is wonderful for any outdoor event. I would recommend placing it near or under shade unless you have a way of covering the black netting so it won’t be super hot out in summer weather. This product is wonderful for keeping out the bugs especially during eating events. Definitely recommend seems sturdy and strong looks great. You will need to buy sand separately as it does come with sand bags to fill. For the size I purchased I would recommend a 2 person set up it’s rather wide and tall. Also taking down folding can be a little difficult with one person to twist it in the number “8.” Also trying to re strap can be a little uneasy as well. I’d recommend a clap closing. Storage can be easy since it’s circular doesn’t take up too much space.

You will be impressed, and won't regret it.
I have had this in my wish list for literally years and never got it until now, I bought it intending to use it for a beach vacation.I set it up real quick at my house today to see how hard it would be to manage by myself.I was very very surprised. The build quality was far higher than I expected, and the way it folds made me scared I was going to break it the first time but I quickly learned that it wants to fold that way once you get it so far. This has truly impressed me with ease of use, build quality, and functionality. Now we shall see if it survives the test of time for backyard events and beach vacations.
