LOVE this for reading tiny patterns! This magnifying glass and light is fantastic! Some magnifying glasses make me dizzy. They are larger, but almost blurry. This is exactly what I had hoped for. Not sure if you can tell in the photo, but it helps me see the pattern so much more clearly!! I also love the fact that I do not have to hold it, it sort of sits on my chest wherever I want to set it. The only drawback might be The length of battery power To be continued….

I started using this magnifier for my crochet project. It is the most amazing thing. If you put a battery in, it lights up. I had to go back a few rows as I couldn’t find where I had made a mistake prior to using this. No more squinting or guessing! It really works. Give it a try! I am using it as I am typing here!! I have been using it for past 3 hours and no headache, no complaints. I watched a clip that a woman had posted here about how to put a battery in. I had no issues with putting in a battery. Remember shiny side down. I am going to purchase another one for my mom who is a sewer. I am sure she will appreciate it.

Good magnification and convenient design. One of the clips that holds the light onto the magnifier broke off easily, but that was not a serious problem--I just hot glued the light to the magnifier. The manufacturer should either use a better grade of plastic or else just connect the light securely and permanently. On the plus side, the light is very bright for seeing things by. On the minus side, it is so bright (like many LED lights nowadays) that it seems like a menace to vision for anyone who looks at it directly. Considering some of the foolish things I did as a child, it will be good to keep it where the grandchildren will not play with it.

This works well for knitting and crocheting. It's light weight, fits well, and is comfortable to use. The only problem is the light -- it's not bright enough. It's also too focused on one spot rather then the light being more spread out. I now have 3 of these, all different brands, all bought over the last 40 years. None have usable lights. I kept waiting several years and buying another one, hoping the lights would get better. They haven't. At home I have a standing magnifier with a great light, and I wanted a portable one to use away from home where the lighting is bad. I'm still looking. Anyone know of one?

As a senior, things are getting harder to see up close. This is so perfect especially for threading needles, doing any sort of needlework or even reading books and magazines. I had no trouble adjusting it to my perfect distance. Other reviews had complaints about how it rests on the chest. I had no problem with it at all and would highly recommend it.

I am very pleasantly pleased by how helpful this new tool is for working on very intricate beading and sewing work. It's great to be hands-free and to be able to move around to different areas at the same time. The added light makes it an even better work experience. It is adjustable, light-weight and easy to get used to. My 95-yr-old mother is testing it out now to see if it helps her reading/newspaper/puzzle interests. If it works for her, I will buy another.
