Work of art
This case is extremely popular and now my build is finally finished I can see why. There is a ridiculous amount of space to fit any hardware you could dream of (or that you can actually get hold of these days).Came from a Fractal Design define R5 and the ease of installation in terms of cable runs is night and day. The case is designed with water-cooling in mind although in my case I'm using a 360mm AIO and an air-cooled 6800xt (for now). The card I bought is massive however there is still LOADS of room to fit a big reservoir at the side of it.The panels seem to click in place with a reassuring quality and the tempered glass is chunky and solid. The finished build of course, is heavy to lift with all this glass but I don't generally move the PC around so this is a non-issue for me.Air flow seems decent as my temps are excellent in all situations and there are a number of different ways you can configure case fans to maximise performance in this regard. I went for 2 x 140mm bottom intakes and the same at the top, set as exhaust, to create a kind of chimney effect. The rear exhaust helps expel some GPU heat when the card is working hard and everything stays cool and surprisingly quiet.Lots of people seem to be buying this case and I had to monitor the product page for a few months to get it for what I would consider a 'good price'. I was looking at other options whilst waiting for stock of this to rematerialise and I'm glad I waited. The finished build looks like a work of art and it runs like a dream.Would not hesitate to recommend.

THE case to buy
What a case this is. Looks good and is very easily to build in.I will just list out what I like most:- Looks great- Pretty good airflow- Easy and tool-less panel removal- A panel to hide cables on right side of case (It's a mess without it)- Able to fit max 10 case fans (Bottom, side, top and 1 rear exhaust) or up to 3 360mm radiators (Bottom, side and top)- RGB strip on the front (I don't use but syncs with Asus aura)Ultimately it is an expensive case but out of the 5 I have owned it is by far the best and I probably will not change it again.

Best showpiece case
The media could not be loaded. Love this case, it's easy to build in and plenty of space for cable management and it looks great!

Surprisingly disappointing.
It's a nice case, and with der baur and ROG behind it I was surprised to see some basic flaws in the design. The hot swap drive bays for SSD or conventional hard drives are sealed on 4 sides. Top and bottom of the removable carriers have a few small holes (8) for ventilation. But the ventilation exhausts within one inch of the top of the case and theres no roof vents at that point. Perfect for cooking your drives. Theres very little cooling in the rear section where aforementioned drive bays and power supply live. A work around is to remove the middle drive cage, fit 2 x 80mm fans, one above the other, to the rear drive cage door pushing air into the rear and then a 120mm fan to the side/rear panel, also pushing air into the rear section. There is a large hole in the chassis where the bottom of the CPU is located. This would have been an ideal area to fit a 140mm, or even 200mm fan to push cold air across the bottom of the motherboard. Another opportunity missed.Although it looks like there is plenty of space inside the case you are quite limited on where you can put what...its a binary choice. You can fit it or not fit it.. radiators, distros blocks have limited location choices. Add in pumps and reservoirs , flowmeters and loop controllers, running out of space happens quick and ugly. I'm currently struggling to find a location to fit a small Asus ext fan controller board. ( to control the 2x80mm and 1 x 140mm at the back). There are some cheap and nasty plastic catches that are begging to fail and yet the glass restraint and locating system is one of the most simple and elegant you will find..Lian li are one of the better case makers and the Dynamic 011 XL will shift in large numbers. It so nearly works... it's one of the best cases out there and very popular too. But I cant help thinking that for this sort of money, the bugs in the design should not be this obvious
