This is a sturdy piece of equipment. You'll need some serious tools to assemble the hitch, including a torque wrench that will register 250 ft/lbs, and the muscle to move it. Once you get it all together, though, the process of deploying the hitch is straightforward and very effective. It removed all the sag between my truck and trailer and made towing much less nerve-wracking. I've had other WDHs, and this is as good as any I've used. Well worth the price.

I was a bit worried when I bought this as there were mixed reviews on which socket would work for torquing the hitch ball. First of all, this does not come with a hitch ball (not readily apparent but the reviews do warn people). After a trip to Walmart, I got the 12,000 lb towsmart hitch ball (2 5/16", with a 1 1/4" diameter 2 1/2" length shank).Anyway, I bought the powerbuilt thin wall socket off Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000FPARIK?) and I was able to install the hitch ball and remove the socket. All worked fine. Only trick I had to do was put the nut in the socket and put that on the shank together as there was not enough room. But once the washer was co.oressed, everything was easily removable.Moral to this review, I didn't not need the $90 socket...

Don’t usually write reviews but was very impressed. The think that surprised me was how heavy duty this unit was. Everything is very, very heavy duty. Highly recommend

It took a while to realize the use of hitch jack, while attached to vehicle, should be used to put the bars over on tongue brackets!
