I used this to replace the battery in my phone 3 years ago and I had to just replace it again. The 3yr old battery started ballooning up, just like the OEM battery did originally. The battery still worked well in that condition, but it is obviously not safe to use. Still, 3 year is worth the price of this battery and the tools in the kit (different than last time) were better than some I already have. I actually got a 2nd and replaced my wife's battery as well just for the tools (ok, and to get her a new battery) :)

So, this was a purchase to replace a battery for an s8 active. Battery sent was not for an active. Battery was too short, however, once installed phone powered on for a few minutes. Gave an error code said temp was too low. Phone would not charge and eventually died. Took it to a cell phone shop. Battery had a short in it. Shop confirmed Battery was installed correctly. Due to battery having short it fried a port on the mother board. So, a $20.00 fix turned into a $300.00 fix. a new battery, a new mother board, and taxes. Don't purchase this item.

I bought this replacement batter just about a year ago (May 2021) to replace my factory battery on my Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. To replace the battery wasn't too difficult and the tools provided did the job. I would however consider getting some double sided adhesive tape when replacing the cover back on. The battery started to not hold a charge after about a year. However, this was not my primary phone and we probably recharged the batteries a total of 30-40 times so don't expect the battery to last more than a few months if you are recharging daily. Overall, the cost is ok but would like to have the battery last longer.

This battery worked great for my s8 active. You have to google instructions for your phone but was a easy task with this battery and kit. Replacement battery has more maph than oem. Very happy with battery life. Would recommend.

Well, I bought this because the battery was starting "to swell-up"in size in my S6 and pushed the case open in the back ... so I bought this, and it's a great battery, but when I installed it I was tooooo rough on the phone's screen, adn after I installed this battery, my phone's screen was dead --- NOT the fault of this battery, as after I charged it, it lasted for days and days as I was awaiting another net phone from Consumer Cellular... I now have this great battery install kit for sale on e-bay... Randall
