AMAZING As Usual! Early arrival, ALL Alive, 250 1/2in Healthy Crickets! Thank You,100★'s!!!
I was thrilled with a much earlier arrival than the expected date of Oct. 9th and they came today, Oct. 3rd! I ordered them on October 1st so this was definitely a very early arrival but like they must have known, I desperately needed them!!! Such a blessing for my Crimson Giant Day Gecko and 2 Gray Tree Frogs! I was actually scrambling to try to get an order for hopefully, small enough Dubia Roaches since I don't have a vehicle and have to rely on a large "Pet..." Store employee to understand my needs. Some definitely do... The other 95% just don't. Actually my delivery driver was more understanding and actually called me to find out my specific needs! She also, following my advice from past experience, had the "store" employee physically count the Dubia Roaches for me. The" 50 count containers" almost always have only 25-30... And that's been in multiple stores in both Arkansas and Oklahoma. So that's a free tip if you're shopping in store people, employees can and Will do a container count Before you buy... If not... Management definitely will and almost always quite happily. If the container is under filled they WILL give you the discount for the correct price! Don't Ever feel uncomfortable about asking for a container count... It's Your Right, Your Money, and for Your Animals!!! Sorry for a rant unrelated to THIS PRODUCT but unfortunately sometimes emergencies happen and we can't just dash to someplace that's as reliable and trustworthy as Josh's Frog's in an instant... or life would be much less stressful for some animal care LOL! Now, regarding the 250 crickets that thankfully arrived so early. My Only Complaint was my Own lack of a large enough plastic container to dump them into as I opened the well taped box! But the few escapees were either caught quickly since I guess they thought I was a safe spot to jump on (thankfully I'm not terrified of crickets, just roaches lol) or my very curious cat decided they were treats, and one of my dogs thought that they were supposed to stomp them. 🤦 (She learned that from a past roach infestation thanks to a neighbor, ugh.) But when the box was completed empty I was absolutely amazed that I saw only 1... 1 dead little cricket!!! And that's probably from me having to get the last egg crate out which was in the box pretty snuggly. I may have accidentally done that, or not. Doesn't matter. One dead 1/2in cricket out of 250 that were shipped, shook around, and probably tossed too... Absolutely Amazing!!! This is why, when I order crickets, I ALWAYS order from Josh's Frog's... And will continue to do so! Sure, not every delivery will be this perfect, but that's because shipping is not smooth on boxes, especially if the box Isn't Read by Every Single Person! That's NOT on Josh's Frog's, but the shipping process unfortunately. Also, I've seen a LOT of medium or even negative reviews because the crickets are shipped loose in the box. All I can say is... If you Don't Bother Reading the Details, and Josh's Frog's do pretty well to make sure they make it Known how they ship Crickets after a certain amount... That's Your Own Fault!!! But their video, which I personally hadn't seen until this order, was so fantastic, and all I can say about it is THANK YOU Josh's Frog's!!! It's obvious Now but, lol, I used to go insane trying to get them into the cricket keepers before I saw this!!! Following the video that suggests when opening the box that IS well taped, but as stated, (In Sooo many places on the site lol!) definitely has the crickets loose in the box with just the egg crate inside... My experience was So Much Easier!!! Get a big enough Sterilite or CLEAR PLASTIC Rubbermaid tub and just open the box, dump, remove egg crate, repeat, ect. I had the best success using a paper towel tube to then load the crickets up and put them into the keepers. Same with empty toilet paper rolls since those just stayed in the keepers. The most difficult was getting the last few dumped over... Next time, those will just be fed to the lizard!!! There was like zero smell too which is surprising, and they're way of shipping is probably the safest and most efficient and effective for the survival of the crickets... Especially with bulk orders! My animals absolutely thrive on these crickets so they must have superior nutrition, as reported by Josh's Frog's website! Thanks again Josh's Frog's for being a good company for so many types of reptiles and amphibians and even more! 💟

AMAZING as always!
Absolutely LOVE Josh’s frogs! Everytime we’ve ordered either through Amazon or their own website, everything comes quickly and all are alive! We usually buy a larger amount of crickets because of the reptiles and other animals we own, and because they are more hardy than the pet store crickets, I’ve also been seeing that there is a possible shortage of crickets in and around our area and so it’s nice to know that we can order and they’ll all survive the shipping and many many weeks in a container. They also ship with food (potatoes) and egg cartons in the boxes. Thank you soo much and you all are so AWESOME over there at Josh’s Frogs!

Healthy Live Crickets sent right to your door!
Josh's Frogs never disappoints with their crickets! The first time I ordered I was worried about how it'd work having them sent through the mail, but, I gave it a shot and got my first order a few months back. I'm so glad I did! I've ordered from them a few times now, and each time every single cricket has arrived alive and healthy. They are usually a little thirsty from being in that box during shipping. So all ya gotta do once ya get 'em is give them something with liquid for 'em to have a drink, and they'll be happy and healthy for as long as you keep them. WAY better value than buying from my local pet shop. When I buy from there the crickets usually die within a few days. Josh's Frogs crickets last as long as they're supposed to, and I've yet to have even a single cricket dead on arrival. Plus, the sizes are accurate. I've gotten different sizes all the way from pinheads to adult crickets and each time I got exactly what I ordered. I doubt I'll be buying crickets from anywhere else anytime soon just because these are far better quality and also better quantity than I can get elsewhere due to the simple fact that they're healthy and don't all die within 24 hours (as long as you actually take care of them, feed them, give them liquid like insect water jelly or even some fruit slices or something. They're bugs, they aren't picky, they'll love pretty much anything you offer them and they're fairly easy to keep alive once you have the right source and know how to keep them) Never gonna buy the sad dying lethargic crickets from the local store again. Waste of time and money. These are always healthy, always fat and happy, full of nutrients, ready to be fed to whatever needs them. (Or even just kept as a pet themselves, if that's what you're looking for. They make lovely little noises once they become adults.)

I only received half of my order...
Until my most recent order, quantity and quality has been perfect. I've been receiving about 11 or12 hundred. However, my last purchase for 1000 crickets was a joke... I did receive my crickets, but it was definitely not 1000 crickets. Maybe 4 or 5 hundred, if that. The egg crates and tub are usually covered with1000 crickets. I'll try one more time from Josh's Frogs. If it happens again, you will definitely be losing a customer. All I want is what I paid for to feed my animals. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Tonight I will have to decide who eats and who doesn't. That's not a situation I want to be in with my animals. Thanks for trying, but try harder Josh's Frogs. Also, I highly doubt I would be compensated for what Josh's Frogs didn't do... Like putting the correct amount of crickets, my other half of crickets. In my eyes, it's pretty easy to tell the difference between 500 and 1000. Just saying...

Crickets are not dead!
I am feeding 3 toads and the crickets we bought at the pet store were always dead after 3-4 days. Josh's take 2-3 days to arrive and there are 0 dead ones when we run out! It's marginally more expensive than my pet store, but very convenient once I figured out the arrival time and could plan my orders, plus, none are dying (my toads do not eat dead crickets). Game changer for sure! Just switched from 72 to 250 and I'm switching back! 250 comes in a box and my cricket cages are not big enough to handle the material that they were shipped with. Definitely glad I read the other reviews and knew not to try to remove them from the box inside my house! I think all of the outside toads in our neighborhood ate well yesterday! But overall, still the best crickets out there. They are living longer and overall I am saving time from not running to the pet store every 4 days and money due to the number of crickets that are staying alive. Just be careful that if you are buying the higher quantities (250+) that you have large enough cricket cages to handle it and that you open the box outside!

All alive and arrived early
Honestly couldn't be happier. My local feeder supply lost their entire.....flock ig. So none of the pet stores in my area had them. I got the 250 counts and their was only 1 dead one. It arrived 3 days early. I was not prepared for the packaging method so be prepared and open it in an enclosed place like a bigger box.

Most were dead, this order and last…
First, let me say that I’ve had 3-4 72 pack shipments of banded crickets delivered from Josh’s ALL alive. That’s why I’m giving 3 stars, however, as you can see, these were mostly dead. I know it’s freezing out in MI and TN so I watched my USPS tracking and got them out of my box within the hour of delivery. These all look dead, but o actually got about 25 live ones out of it. They were up in the carton and a few were just stiff from the cold but started wiggling later so don’t immediately trash them! Let them warm up. My last shipment, I tried the 150 pack (I believe it was) and half of those were dead. There was a big orange or something in the box that I think maybe they got squished under. (Even though it was secured to the side) I hope this was just a couple of bad ones, but I think a partial refund or a coupon for half off would be nice, when this happens. Other than dead crickets, these are the best. The ones at Petco stink and chirp….these, oddly, do not chirp, so a full star for that feature! lol
