I like the solid base and the ability to change mic proximity
It’s not like a bar where you go to hold and caress microphones, meet up with fellow microphone enthusiasts, maybe pick up a date. Not that kind of bar. It’s a bar that holds microphones. Psh!Okay... In that regard, it’s very sturdy, but the annoyance is that it relies on the adapters to tighten each knob down and affix to the mic clip/shock mount - meaning the thing practically has to be put back together if you tighten the mics on too hard. And you risk getting tiny metal fragments in your fingers in some cases. But at least the base is solid and doesn’t droop back and forth, and I love the ability to close or broaden the distance between microphones. Seems every budget mic bar has its trade offs, but this one is very useful and good quality, given the noted cons above!

Avoid if using with 5/8" mic clips
Surprisingly disappointing. Attaching 5/8" mic clips requires adapters, which are included. The quality of the included adapters is terrible however. They constantly get stuck in the mic clip and don't have a slot for a coin or a flathead screwdriver, requiring the use of pliers to extract them from mic clips. The metal is cheap and soft, causing it to strip very quickly. At one point I was only able to get the adapter out of a mic clip by clamping it in a vice (this was a K&M mic clip mind you). I've come to expect better from K&M.

Solid bracket just as described!
Strong bracket and works perfect to adapt my mic stand to hold two mics!

Good, solid bar (minus untimely accident)
Have used this bar for the last 2 years for outdoor field recording with 2 NT1A mics and their SM6 shock mounts. Usually weighs approx. 9 pounds when both mics are connected to the bar. A loose connection recently caused my setup to drop about 2 feet to a wooden floor, but fortunately the bar took the brunt of the force and only gouged the stereo bar's female threads flat due to the distance and weight (my fault for not double-checking connections, not a failure of the bar to be clear). Setup landed on one end mainly. No damage to shock mounts or mics fortunately, but now it's time for another stereo bar as a result. Hoping I can still make use of the old bar by drilling out the flattened threads one day, but I digress). Mine didn't originally come with any 3/8" to 5/8" adapter. However, this was easily remedied with the Ultimate Support 21600N Threaded Mic Stand Adapter and a couple of barrel adapters (5/8" on the outside and 3/8" on the inside) from here on Amazon. Excellent little bar, though. Up until the untimely dropping event above, everything had worked wonderfully for 2 years. Have recorded a ton of different places both indoors & outdoors over the last 2 years. And, it's been the backbone of everything I've done, especially with the 9-12 pounds of equipment (mics, shock mounts, stereo bar itself, adapters, and windscreen stuff) I pile on it 98% of the time. I don't use it with a typical mic stand. The 9-12 lbs of weight on this stereo bar requires me to use a 4-inch on-stage posi-lok clutch, also avail. here on Amazon. I tried a typical mic stand once with this much weight and it didn't work very well at all, even with a counterweight. Granted, the stereo bar handled it all just fine, and all the better with the posi-lok clutch. NOTE: All female threads and both male threads on this bar are 3/8" (*not* the standard 5/8" used here in the US), so be sure to consider that when buying it. If you plan to use it with 5/8" connections, you'll definitely need adapters (which has been my case).

Awesome for using 2 mics on a cab
Really happy with the sturdiness and versatility of this.Being able to slide the mics around to fine-tune their position is pretty essential.Once in place and firmly thumb-screwed down, the mics stay where you want them. The sturdiness does make the mic bar a little heavy, which combines with the weight of TWO mics can pose some challenges for mic stand balance. I’m using mini stands and have to very carefully align a leg with the boom arm or the whole thing topples over.Uploading a pic of the current setup. Managed to get an SM57 and a Heil PR30b to work together, despite them using VERY different clips / mounts. No concerns with this bar. When I finally get a pair of SDC mics, I’ll buy another so I can mic up my acoustic properly.Great product. Love it when something works as intended straight away!

Great, except for the adapters
This bar is nicely made and solid. The good news/bad news is that it comes with adapters to fit standard 5/8 inch threads. In order to tighten the mics enough so that they stay where you want them, you must tighten both the microphone to the adapter, and the adapter to the bar using the same torque. When you take it apart, the adapter stays stuck to the mic, not the bar. You can't prevent this because the smaller diameter thread will always unthread first. The real problem other reviewers have pointed out is that the supplied adapter is so short, there isn't enough length to grab it to remove it from the mic when you are done. One easy solution is to keep a small pair of pliers handy. In my case, I had some longer adapters that came with my microphones that I used instead. They work much better, even though they are plastic. It would be great if this bar had 5/8 inch threads so it didn't need adapters. Let those who want to use mics with tiny threads use adapters instead. The 17 cm maximum spacing is perfect for ORTF stereo for my mics in shock mounts. I fasten my shock mounts perpendicular to the bar at this maximum spacing, and then rotate the mics in the shock mounts to the 110 degree angle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ORTF_stereo_technique

Mic-tastic
The media could not be loaded. I use this on a short stand with two weighty condensers...mostly for recording acoustic instruments...the bracket screws securely and easily onto the mic stand thread.Sturdy...adjustable and nicely spaced.Great wee product...well made and extremely useful.

Perfect item fully approved and will be well used.
Used in my music setup hosting 2 microphones, one from my keyboard to capture harmonies and second for 2nd Mike directly from my PA.
