I love this book!

The illustrations are beautiful and I love to read it for that reason but it is from a perspective of being that kid "that nobody sees." And while that is important, my kids couldn't relate but the final punchline is that you can find friends anywhere....which is a win for my kids.

This book is the sweetest story of what it means to be a good friend. We read it all the time and bedtime and my daughter adores it.

I thought that this book was most adorable and tht it shared a good lesson about helping people i hope this book becomes nominated in next year's caldecat award because it deserves it.

The drawings are beautiful and engaging. The story is simple and encouraging. I smiled the whole time I was reading it and I love the message in it! I bought a copy for myself and as a gift for a 3 year old. My Sam was thrilled, as his name matched the whale. He kept talking about the story and asking family members to re-read it to him. Cale Atkinson did an excellent job and I intend to purchase all his stories!

This is a delightful story and the illustrations are wonderful. This book appeals to all ages, children and adults alike. It even delighted myelderly mother. I strongly recommend it as a wonderful book to add to your child's collection. Looking forward to more books by this amazing author and illustrator.
