Techniques of Solomonic Magic

Full of research materials written academically and systematically
Full of research materials written academically and systematically. I am impressed by the details that Dr Skinner have gone into. However, I do have my opinions as a magical practitioner: The organization of information is great but the lack of practical records bothers me. Since Dr. Skinner mentioned in an interview at Watkins Books at London years back that he is "only interested in practical magic", there is no "how" to perform the Solomonic work rather than full of "what" from the historical point of view. If you are looking for a book with full record of step-by-step Solomonic evocations and about the practicing author's commentary or insights about the works, I would not recommend this book.

Must read...
Yes you read that correctly.....this is literally a MUST READ for anyone seeking to understand the transfer of magic (as a technique/technology) from culture to culture throughout history from the darkest depths of human history in very analytical detail. Dr Stephen Skinner is one of the world's foremost experts on this subject and this key work is destined to go down in history as a definitive study on the magic technology's long arduous journey through human history. If you're interested in magic and haven't read this book, STOP what you're doing right now, buy this book and read it as soon as possible. hen review it, so others interested in magic will know where to get some serious research in their hands from an honest and true scholar. This is one book that will remain in my collection until I die.Hope this helps someone make a decision on what to buy or not to buy. Thx

Print on demand book
As much as I wanted this book the quality of the book itself does not justify a $50-$75 price tag. The first one I ordered had, what looked like, water damage on a few pages, the second appeared used as it's binding was coming undone. I love Dr Stephen Skinner's work and his source works of ceremonial magic books are of fine quality.

I love anything this Author publishes
Dr.Skinner does his homework. His subjects are well researched. I love anything this Author publishes, and I can trust any of his works. If you are not familiar with Dr. Skinner you need to read his work and you will find out just how rewarding it is. Dr. Skinner practices what he preaches.Jurgen

A lot of extraordinary information
Everything necessary to do it the right way. Great reference to either put together or build upon your own ritual practice. But that's not a rare thing with Stephen Skinner. Definitely a go to author.

The writer is professional and experienced but this book gives a historical rather than a practical look

The book is well written. It does take some ...
The book is well written. It does take some time to get to the point. Which is understandable if you're providing a full scope of the historical account of King Solomon.

Excellent Scholarly
This book is an original scholarly work on Traditional Magic not the usual regurgitated ‘New Age’ sort of magic you usually get.

A Masterpiece
A masterpiece! Dr. Skinner works his own kind of magic and through dedication, hard work and amazing scholarship brings together various sources, manuscripts and books to finally solve many of the puzzles that have been plaguing scholars and all those who are interested in Solomonic Magic. If you find anything written by Dr. Stephen Skinner, buy it! You won't be disappointed.

This is wicked witchcraft
I regretted this purchase and threw it out. This is witchcraft and goes against Jesus Christ. I repented for this.
