2017 Road KingPlugs into existing battery pigtail with SAE plug. It is a little bigger than expected (not really a problem, just expected something smaller).I use it to charge my phone in a hard saddle bag. Plugs into the existing pigtail and I run a USB cord into the saddlebag. I'm unsure how water resistant the USB end is so I would cover it if in wet weather.After more research it seems there may be other equal or better options for adding USB outlets but this does work well as intended.

This is an awesome product. If you have a motorcycle with a battery tender. This is a great addition to have. It just plugs into the battery tender socket and boom you have a charging port.

If you have your motorcycle set up for a battery tender, this is a handy little device to have. It allows you to plug in to the connector that you would normally plug the tender into, and enables you to charge your phone if you need to while you are riding. I had explored the idea of wiring up a 12 volt socket on my handlebars, and then using a car charger to charge my phone, but this eliminated the need for all that. I just keep a charging cord in my motorcycle jacket, along with this device, and I'm good to go. It was brought to my attention that the output voltage stated "12V" on the website page (USB output should be a max of 5V). I read the back of my unit, and it states "Input: 12V - 1.0A / Output 5V - 2.1A". The page incorrectly shows 12V output in at least 3 areas on the Amazon page, but this is apparently incorrect. It appears to function as any standard USB outlet would (a max of 5V) as far as I can tell. Hope this helps.

I have used a Deltran battery tender for years and trust the quality. This item was brand new and in good shape. Fits the connector to my battery tender line and easy to use. i like that the form factor is small and can fit in my saddlebag, or outside it if I want. Also purchased a charging line so I can charge the phone on the handlebar or use the map function continuously on road trips. Super handy and glad I now have a way to charge the phone on the go.
