I estimate they are 2 1/2 inches, + - After attaching the cable to the door and through the pulley, be careful Use vice grips to hold cable, you could lose a finger with the weight of the door when you tension the cable. Use Vice Grips.

These cables don’t look like they have the crimped on ends needed to connect to the hardware at the bottom of the garage door (and lift it).

The crimped loop on the ends attaches to the connection on the bottom end of the door the free end attaches to the end of the door tracks next to the wall You also have the little U shaped connectors to make a second loop on the cable where and if it is needed. I had no problem

Would this work on a Crafstman garage opener?

These are not garage door opener parts. They are garage door parts for doors that use extension springs rather than a torsion spring. This kit is used to replace the worn or broken pulleys and cables. If your problem is with the opener you need to check with that manufacturer. For example, I have a Genie opener and I bought a replacement part from Genie. I also had problems with broken pulleys and cables and replaced them with the kit.

Can this be used on an electric garage door?

Mine is a 16 ft garage door with a craftsman opener with 2 remotes if thats what you mean by electric, and the cables will fit all sizes of garage doors , hope this helps, God Bless

This kit included everything but the springs to completely rebuild the garage door mechanical system

My problem is that the garage door quit opening. The extension springs were stretched and not working. On further observation, I found the cables frayed and both pulleys locked up and not turning. I was able to get two springs but they were of a different length than the old ones. This kit of parts saved the day. It contained all the parts I needed. I replaced the old broken pulleys. The kit has two pairs of cables and one of them was the exact type I needed. Fortunately, the cables were longer than actually needed so I could adjust for the shorter extension springs. Now the garage door operates like new!

Perfect for repair

This kit had what exactly what I needed to replace a fraying cable on my garage door. Including two sizes of cable was nice as I wasn’t sure which one I should get and could just compare the new ones to the existing cable. I ended up buying two more pulleys so I could replace all of them at the same time, but this kit had everything else I needed and saved me time hunting down all the hardware separately.
