As always with this filter system so easy to use and did the job

Great filter cartridge! Lowered my Phospates and Nitrates considerably. The filter does as advertised. I removed it just yesterday..so we will see how the tank changes. It's a little expensive for a 30 day cartridge however. It's supposed to be used when you need it...not like carbon. Even though I do regular water changes, I still maintain a 10 ppm nitrate level. This lowered it to .5ppm. Consistently.

Worked really well at getting my Nitrates and Phosphates down. I chose to discontinue use, because I have a planted tank, and it was doing to well.

This filter does what it says. Before using this, however, you should first run the Phosphate and the Nitrate filters for a day each. This brings the levels down to "manageable" levels without using up the Tri X. Remove them and store for later use in an emergency situation. The Tri X will then maintain the levels for a long time. I am using it on a 75 gallon tank with live plants and 24 fish (Gouramis, Tetras, Barbs, Platys, Danios, Corys).

On the expensive side, but very convenient to use

The last two times I’ve received this product (which is a subscription) when I open the box it’s a mechanical pre filter and not the tri-ex cartridge. I’m not sure what’s going on but I thought once was an accident but twice is a problem!

Like the fact that it has nitrate and phosphate reduction in one unit, as well as carbon purification, I replace mine every 45 days and my nitrates don't get above 5 ppm. I'd replace it once a month if it were more reasonably priced.

Es muy practica por que tiene todo lo que comúnmente usarías para filtrar una pecera incluso después de medicar para quitar residuos de medicamento. Es un poco cara pues dura poco más de un mes, pero es muy practica.

This 3 in 1 filter is a good direct replacement. I change mine every 3-4 months.
