Really well crafted, holds an edge and I never go anywhere without it. Just the right weight so it fits on my belt or in my pocket without feeling too heavy. Great knife!

Love this knife! Excellent design. Excellent operation. Holds an edge very well. The packaging was even very nice. I did not like the sheath. Its a bulky nylon piece of junk. Completely unnecessary and cheap. Doesnt go with the elegance of knife at all. A total after thought. If it wasn't for the fact that I felt like the knife was worth the price regardless of the sheath, I might even be a little upset they included it but the knife is completely worth it.

This knife is well made but it just doesn’t feel right in the hand. And though there is a liner lock it barely stays closed. The opposite of the classic it tries to replace. Packaging is incredible. Disappointed.

Solid built knife. I was worried it would feel “cheep “ or plastic feeling but it feels like a well built knife. I’m very pleased with it.

The company trivisa I believe is how you spell it, makes an almost identical version of the modern higonokami. That version is better, from the second I took the newootz from the box and initially held and operated it, I knew that the newootz take on the epic higo wasn't a full fail, just not comparable to the trivisa. The trivisa has a button lock, as opposed to a stiff liner lock on this newootz. The blades are almost identical, including thumb jumping on the front flipper design.... but the trivisa model has it designed to be used and it's newootz rival doesn't operate smoothly, the blade deployment is clumsy and not fluid. The trivisa came epicly sharp, giving me 9 stitches a few days after owning it when it cut so fast and clean I never realized my hand was not placed well and I couldn't think as fast as that blade moved before the damage was done. I opened up the newootz and checked its sharpeness in comparision and laughed to myself at the lack of competition to the trivisa model. It is a solid knife, priced somewhat in the right region, but the same price tag comes on the trivisa model, and knowing that there is a better model out there makes this knife just an adequate knife with a cool modern take on a classic design.

I used this for 2 months and it's great, I work in a hardware store and use it all the time.

I believe if this knife had the ceramic bearings it would of made a great knife. Saddley it is hard to open with one hand. It looks great but not practical enough for me. Thanks for the opportunity NEWOOTZ!
