Genuine AARodriguez Replacement Hinge for VW Glove Box Lids

The part is solid and fits perfect.... No more falling glove box. However, getting the entire glove box off may be difficult. There is one screw behind the center console that is difficult to get to. I could not see getting it off unless I removed the center console peice....Seemed like a PTA! You may want to consider leaving the glove box in place and remove the side panel to access the internal components. If you go with this approach you will need a right angle phillips screw driver to secure the hinge screws or a short stubby one. Yes, it would be easier to remove the entire glove box but can be done as I described with a little effort and patience.

You got to push it hard to get it close on the side with the new hinge. Also you need some modifications to get to work properly. Not what I was expecting for 24 dollars.

These are only for the right hand side. Now I'm stuck with a spare and had to epoxy the other side. Average quality at best poor directions

Very easy to install and does the job very well if you have broken your glove box hinge. A five year old cold install it. AARodriguez Corp makes awesome products.

Taking about the dash to remove the glove box door was a real PITA. The installation of the replacement hinge itself was very easy.
