Works great for a Time Machine backup device
It really is too bad that Apple doesn't make these anymore anymore, but I was able to find one refurbished on Amazon. No other company makes a device like this. It's a Wi-Fi time machine back up that connects to my network and seamlessly integrates with the macOS. You can definitely cobble together alternatives, but this was basically plug-in play.

Time Capsule Works Wonderfully
The Time Capsule came in excellent condition, exactly what I'd hoped for. I've used it successfully to backup my entire hard drive. I'm very happy with its performance so far.

connected router - speed test 40 up 121 down - I have gigabyte service - tested numerous times using hard start on modem - no improvement - 20 min after powering up flashing yellow over heat using airportutilityreconnected TP-link router 450 down 45 upnot requesting refund - unit in trash canvery disappointed

Not USA market model
BUYER BEWARE!!I ordered this and it showed up in good shape. Nothing to complain about as far as functionality.The problem is that it is not a USA market model. This means that you cannot set the wifi to operate on the proper USA FCC regulated channels. There is no way to change it through Apple Airport Utility and the Apple Stores and Support will be no help.There is a complex way to change it by enabling SSH access via the dbug property using acp commands but that will be beyond the abilities of most people.If you order one of these refurbished and you cant select USA based wifi channels, you should probably return it and get your money back.There is nothing to indicate in the listing that it is not a USA model. I hope this helps someone.
