Don't apply too liberally or else it will run/drip. **Q: Is this interior or exterior ?** A: I would not use it exterior. I have used it on furniture and water on the bottom of a glass left a ring. **Q: About what pound cut is it** A: It is a 3 lb. cut, not 2 lb. While the Technical Data Sheet currently available on the manufacturer's website does not give the cut, an older version found online says it is 3 lb., and I've read this elsewhere as well. I highly doubt this product's formulation has been modified since then. **Q: Can this be used on a cutting board?** A: You would be better off with 100% tung oil. Make sure it is 100% to be non-toxic. This is non-toxic, but it sits on the surface and will flake with use. You can also use any other plant oil, like almond, grapeseed, olive, even canola. I wanted something that was easy to apply and fix. This delivered on that. I applied using a terry cloth covered sponge and a bottle. Very fast to apply and was able to touch up small spots without them standing out. It was important that this product didn't change color of the wood so I bought the un-tinted. In my opinion, this shellac enhanced the natural color of the wood without changing the color. Two coats on the walls provided the coverage I was looking for. First coat soaked in deeply and hit it quickly with a brillo pad. I had planned on buffing with the brillo after the second coat but it didn't need it. Dries super fast and allows for multiple coats in a short amount of time.
