City Great Vehicles 60053 Race Car

In my review of the LEGO CITY – Grand Prix Truck (60026), I discussed how I am a big fan of the Octan LEGO sets.And sure enough, sold at retail is the inexpensive LEGO Race Car. At 100 pieces, you get the #1 race car with all of its red, white and black Octan glory with its driver hoisting a trophy.The car took me less than half an hour to build and if you thought the #5 race car which came with the Grand Prix Truck was cool, the #1 race car with its moveable spoiler and black race wheels (making its debut in any LEGO toy) is even cooler.Granted, different race cars for different races but this race car is one you want for your LEGO Octan Racing collection!When compared to the #5 race car which is cool and sporty, I love how this #1 race car is full of colors and has the black wheels which make its debut with this set! The spoiler can be easily adjusted and to put your character in the vehicle, the top comes off easily.But I love the fact that LEGO is making more Octan Racing cars! An I can only hope more are being planned and eventually developed and released for retail!Once you are all done with building your race car, you get quite a few extra parts including an extra visor for the helmet. But that’s 12 extra parts to use as backup or for other LEGO sets, which is a plus!Overall, the LEGO CITY – Race Car (60053) is a sleek, awesome Octan race car! The #5 race car which came with the LEGO CITY: Grand Prix Truck was cool, but the overall look of this #1 race car is really awesome! And love the fact that the LEGO minifigurine can hoist the trophy cup to show who is champ!It’s under $10 at retail and can easily be found at your local store or online, so if you want to have more Octan Racing representation in your LEGO collection, the LEGO CITY – Race Car (60053) is recommended!

This racing car is a fun little set to have. The winner's trophy is a nice addition to the minifigure. This set is very easy to put together. The instructions are very well laid out and easy to read. The only part a 5 year old might need help with is applying the sticker decals, but even those are easy to figure out and shouldn't pose much of an issue. I think the ages listed (5-12) are appropriate but I think all Legos should list just the lower age. For example, this set should be age appropriate for 5+. The car is very sleek and has nicely rounded features that make grabbing it, driving it and playing with it fune and easy. The roof comes off and goes back on easily so you can put the racer inside. The back fin is adjustable, so you can raise it or lower it how you like.All in all this is a fun little set!

As I said about the other product of lego truck, these are great. I thought about it twice before buying these products for my grandson. They are very small pieces but he at his age is very careful about breaking things. The colors are bright and the pieces stay most of the time in place. They are so cute and small. But it should be up to the parents to decide if there child is up to playing with small parts under 5 years old. When my grandson plays with these small Legos I am always in eye contact with him. I recommend this product .

Got it for my 6 year old nephew, and he loved it! He asked his mom to send me a couple of pictures of the car, and he said I had to see the bottom of it too. It's a very cute car!I am not sure how hard or easy this is suppose to be for a six year old. My nephew finished it in less than an hour. I've already order him another one with more pieces. Hope that one will keep him occupy a bit longer. :-)

I purchased this Lego for a birthday present for my nephew. He will be 4 and is getting into Lego's and I thought this would be a nice present for his birthday. His father already has Lego's from when he was young and this will be a nice addition to what they already have. And the best part was that it was on sale and I saved money.

My grandkids and I attached Lego plates and a road kit to particle board for a portable, sturdy "play mat" and I am in the process of ordering vehicles to use on our project. As with all Lego products, this was easy for my seven-year-old to assemble and all four of the kids love it and run it over the roads endlessly. Another GREAT Lego product at a great price, considering that Legos are very expensive but worth it!!

My 6 year old grandson loves these, has a whole collection of them, I like to buy them as a small treat for him when he comes for a visit.

Present for a 7 year old boy. He was very excited. He is a Lego fanatic.

Its a very tiny box, I didnt realize that. So I am sure my kid will use it but not sure if you are looking for giving it as a gift to someone.

Got this as a gift for a young fella 5 years old. Parts are way too small to put togeather by small hands. End product may be okay in size but getting there is frustating
