The Wayuu hammock is widely considered the epitome of the hammock makers art. These hamacas are made by the indigenous tribes women of the dessert of La Guajira, Venezuela, and are considered to be the real top-top jewels of the weaver's crown! They are woven from mercerized cotton cord for strength and vividness of color. It requires three months or more to elaborate these amazing hammocks. Each one is a unique expression of the weaver's artistry. The photos you see here are the photos of the actual hammocks we have in stock. The Wayuu hammock is approximately 13 feet in length and very commodious and comfortable. The weaving is so thick and intricate that to use one feels like a floating sofa. These are equally works of the weavers art and amazingly comfortable hammocks. Offer is for hammock only. Stand is a separate item.
