These do the trick for reducing cable clutter on your laptop desk. Far too many laptops have cables only on the side. As most cables are straight - that is a lot of desk real estate lost to cable nest jutting out of the side of your laptop. Use these and right angle USB, ethernet, and power plugs to tidy up the side access of your laptop. Add a velcro zip tie tightly around your bundle and they'll stay pretty close in place for relatively quick connnection and disconnection. This is the only brand that also sells and also lets you select both handedness. The quality is great and the connections tight.

I needed this for my entertainment stand to plug in an HDMI cable into a switch, where the 5th port stuck out to the side. I needed space, and couldn't have part of a cord jutting out to the side, and I am not a fan of cords being trained with sharp bends, especially near the connectors, so this product worked great in that regard. I do wish, however, that the construction seems a bit big. That is, the "casing" of the "L" joint seems rather big for the functionality. If I had to use this in a setup where, for example, multiple HDMI ports were lined up horizontally, I am a bit worried that the size of the casing would essentially cut off access to HDMI ports on either side of the series. That being said, for my purpose of the lone HDMI port on the side of my switch, this was not a concern and works perfectly for my needs.

I've ordered two or three packs of these and all of them have worked and they've been so useful. I've used them on hdmi splitters and they work just fine. One of the main things I use them for is the hdmi out on my gaming laptops. For some reason they often put the hdmi port on the right side, which if you use a mouse with your laptop (esp. if you're using a lapdesk of some kind) it gets in the way. This angle adapter forces the hdmi cable towards the rear and keeps the wire from being as bothersome. It's nice to have both a 90 and 270 degree one if needed. I would recommend them for hdmi cable management.

These are great little adapters. I used one for a Blu-ray player that had limited space on a shelf. Without the adapter the player hung over the front of the shelf. I used the other for a TV that was mounted on a stand. The stand construction partially blocked the HDMI port, but with the adapter I regained use of the port. Problems solved.

Whenever I have a TV or monitor mounting project I always look at where I want the cables to go, and how much room I have. Frequently, depending on where the HDMI input is on the TV, I may need an elbow connector. These are sturdy, and come in various angles and configurations depending on the job. Look no further, the price is good and the product works.

Updated 7/10/2015: Four and a-half stars. Unfortunately, I found through trial and error that using this port for my Roku Stick was causing issues with recognizing the remote. Once I removed it and plugged the Roku directly into the HDMI port, all worked fine. The adapter has worked perfectly fine with a bedroom TV that hangs on the wall with my Sony Blu-Ray and Roku streaming box. It's been very helpful in removing the strain on the HDMI cords in this instance.

I used this on a lap top in a computer desk. I wanted the left side up against a wall, but with the HDMI cable coming straight out, it took up 5 inches. Now I can slide the lap top up to this connector, and it only uses 1 inch of space, the HDMI cable can head straight back toward the back of the cabinet and out the hole and up to the large monitor. Works great.
