Chemistry 2e: Official OpenStax [hardcover, full color]

Books great, came on time, I mean chemistry still sucks but that's not really the books fault. I'd definitely recommend this seller, and it's also a little cheaper here then through my college so that's a bonus.

I ordered the hardcover version of this textbook for class. It arrived in a day, was packaged in a book box and was in perfect condition. I am looking forward to spending a few semesters reading it. WAY cheaper than the bookstore.

Hardcover copy came exactly as stated! If you’re lucky enough to have a class that uses this budget friendly textbook I totally suggest buying yourself a physical copy so you can add in your own notes + highlighting (if that’s your learning style) Also a good resource if you wanna have a physical copy of general chemistry concepts

The book is great! I hope I could have this book when I was high school student. The only thing I want to complain is that the book I received is damaged. Anyway, I bought the last book in the inventory at that moment. It is probably the worst one in stock.

Online chemistry class and a physical book is needed as that is how I learn

Came with the first few pages and cover cut in half. It was listed as barely used , like new. When I open the box I saw the damage.

The media could not be loaded.  There has been some reviews stating only receiving part 2 of the textbook. However, this must be a problem with the paperback because the hardback is one volume and complete. Additionally, the textbook is in perfect condition.

Hardcover is a full colour edition which is great and exactly what I was looking for. I bought the book new, and it arrived a bit banged up from the shipping most likely (see pictures) so that was a bit disappointing as it affects the resell value (I take good care of my textbooks to ensure a maximum resale value once I am done a course) but it's fairly minor overall. It took over a week to ship but once it shipped I received my textbook within a day and before the expected delivery date so that was good. I am happy with my purchase overall as I could not picture myself doing any more school readings in a PDF format as it strains my eyes too much to read constantly on a computer. I did my last course with the PDF version online last semester and I am just glad I got the physical book this time around for my course as it is in my opinion a well-designed general chemistry book with plenty of practice problems and lots of pictures to assist with the comprehension of the material covered.

Didaktisch steht es in der Tradition von amerikanischen in Wort und Bild sehr anschaulichen und kein Vorwissen voraussetzenden Lehrbüchern. Die wichtigsten Inhalte werden durchgehend mit analogen Erfahrungen aus der Alltagswelt oder Presse veranschaulicht. Sobald die Grundlagen eingehend vermittelt und durch Übungen verfestigt wurden, steigert sich der Abstraktionsgrad und die wissenschaftliche Darstellung und Vermittlung wird anspruchsvoller. Dieser Prozess wird weiter durch anschauliche Beispiele und Aufgaben (mit Lösungen) begleitet. Die hohe Seitenzahl des Buches erklärt sich primär durch die beschriebene Ausführlichkeit und die vielen Übungen. Dadurch eignet sich das Buch exzellent zum autodidaktischen Lernen.Die sehr übersichtliche Gliederung ermöglicht es, dass man Passagen, wie z.B. die Übungen oder zusätzliche analoge Beispiele, falls nicht benötigt einfach überspringt, ohne Einbußen der Kernaussagen.Die Sprache ist sehr verständlich; mathematische Anforderungen sind auf ein Minimum beschränkt, wobei es auch hierbei detaillierte Erklärungen gibt.Das Buch behandelt die Grundlagen der sog. allgemeinen, anorganischen sowie der organischen Chemie. Atomaufbau samt den Elementarteilchen werden in Grundzügen dargelegt. Ebenso die Voraussetzungen der Biochemie. Zu diesen Themen gibt es in dieser Reihe ebenso hervorragende Bände wie das hier dargestellte.Im Vergleich zu Büchern aus dem Pearson Verlag gibt es keine wesentlichen Unterschiede außer dem enormen Preisunterschied. Es ist unfassbar welche hohe Qualität hier umsonst geboten wird.In jedem Fall zugreifen, falls Bedarf besteht.Für mich : "best of".

recieved only the first volume of 2, which is already bad and it has come second hand with red pen all through it. it does not state this.
