OK quality, good value.
Good for the price. The build quality is fine, but there are some design features I would pay extra to change in retrospect. With three 45lb plates on each side, the leg pads do nothing to keep the thin bar from digging into your upper legs. I have remedied this by putting a 2x4 between the bar and my leg on each side with a stopper block to keep it from rolling off the boards. It's a little loose once you start getting up there in weight, but with 180lbs and less it's solid. The stick-on grip pieces slide around, so I peeled them off and re-glued them with super glue and haven't had an issue since. Overall, good for light to moderate weight, good build quality, and good value at this price.

Enhance your health
I ordered this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. Easy to use he said so of course I tried it!!! He ended up ordering a larger model for himself due to his wanting extreme muscle sculpture, but it was great product

Very disappointed.
This is my first piece of PowerLine home gym equipment and it's *very* disappointing, even with the expectations of simple home gym equipment (i.e. not real gym quality). PowerLine is Body-Solid's entry level line of equipment. For smaller, isolated home gym equipment I normally buy the regular Body-Solid brand or Nautilus, though it costs 2x to 5x as much (such as Body-Solid's Leg Extension / Leg Curl Cam machine). You get what you pay for definitely applies here. Overall the calf machine is laughable at best for it's usefulness and functionality. Does it work? Technically, yes. Does it work well? No, absolutely not. My setup: - What I started with for weights is a plate on each side (90 pounds total). I was very reluctant to exceed this weigh as the machine felt much too unstable for anything more. The Machine: - It's moderately solid but still wobbles/jiggles enough to make it annoying. - The seat is fine, if lackluster. - The padding for the knees is bottom of the barrel, not comfortable. - The metal bar that holds the knee padding bends and bounces when it's being used. (Yes, I go slow when raising/lowering). - The distance between the knee bar and the foot bar seems much too short. I wasn't able to get a full motion out of it without hitting the floor or having my knees jammed. I would say my leg length is normal for the average male, I'm 5' 10". - The foot pads didn't stick to the foot bar. They promptly crunched and became useless after the first session. (This was after waiting 24 hours for the glue to adhere). - Pointing toes inward or outward didn't work very well. There isn't enough room on the foot pads and knee pads for this type of movement. Minor stuff: - The "instructions" are simply a piece of paper with the parts list and a 1 page diagram of how the pieces all fit together. This was sufficient, but certainly not user friendly or as nice as some of the other instruction manuals with other home gym equipment pieces I've purchased in the past. - No weight collars. - No weight sleeve adapters. I guess they expect most home gyms use non-Olympic style weights. I'm thankful Amazon has a great return policy. It has already been shipped back for a refund. Bottom line: Avoid this machine.

gets the job done
I was debating between this and the xmark calf machine, but went for this due to the fact that it was cheaper and figured it was the same thing. The part that rest against your thighs isn't comfortable with any decent weight on it (90+ lbs). The stick on grips on for your feet keeps sliding off and peels off. No olympic weight adapters come with it, not a big deal. It gets the job done, but was a disappointment. The seat wobbles side to side more than I would like, and the bolts are tighten. Bottom line, I should've gone with the xmark, but this gets the job done and I'll stick with it.

I wouldn’t buy again
It does not fit me well with long legs... also if you load the weight up heavy the pads are not that great and it hurts your quads. The sticky pads for your feet come off after a few uses. The center piece with the cushion is very loose no matter how tight I try and get it. I would spend another hundred and get a better quality machine. This is the only piece of equipment I went cheap on and regret it...

BUY THE MACHINE!
A lot of people are complaining about the pads not being thick enough. GET BIGGER THIGHS. THE MACHINE is great. I am a power lifter. I am pushing 245lbs on it and it works perfect. Some people are complaining it doesn't hold up very well. PUT I TOGETHER CORRECTLY. The machine works great for me. Just saying guys, QUIT COMPLAINING!

Lové it, works great
This is a great product! It’s great for me as I’m judt a little person. If you’re a big guy and lift heavy... this would not be good for you. I put 60pds on mine and works great!!! Very steady Not for juice monkeys ;)

Worth the money
The thigh rolls are a little bit uncomfortable and heavier weights will slightly hurt your thighs but it’s not unbearable. I read about the sticky foot grips peeling off so I just wear shoes and never bothered putting the pads on. It’s not hard to assemble, it just seems like a daunting task when you look at the diagrams and instructions. Took about 45 mins to put it together. Anyone saying it’s too complicated to assemble has a pea brain or no patience.
