I got this as a photography prop for a western shoot we were doing and am so glad I did; the look, feel, and weight of the piece is incredibly realistic and the quality of the piece seems built to last! I am beyond pleased with the item.

Nice heavy weight to it, all metal and wood, the hammer cocks and fires, lever action works. It is made in Spain not China. I got it to hang above the fire place mantle since its so much cheaper than a real one. I took some time and scuffed it up to make it look used. The barrel is not steel, its aluminum or tin, I had hoped to allow it to rust a little to look more aged but that clearly will not happen, which was my only issue with it. Honestly though it looks great and no one can tell the difference unless you are really looking. No regrets whatsoever, a nice wall hanger decoration that completes my farmhouse fireplace.

Wow! This replica is just like a real gun. Real metal. Nice workmanship. Got it for my son who loves guns but I didn't want him having real ones displayed in his room. Very nice. Highly recommend. My son loves it too.

Just got the 1866 Yellowboy replica, I was surprised about the weight, wow. The lever action is awesome. I read the reviews and decided to go with this one over the 1892 or 1873 because of the reviews. All were equally priced but I felt good about the way this sounded. Thanks for posting your comments I read them all. Great job Denix this will compliment my Denix M1873 Calvary Pistol. I am all set for Helldorado Days in Tombstone, Az in 2 weeks!

An interesting replica. Mine had bounced around all over America with NO packing in the box. It arrived scuffed, with the barrel band knocked completely off the rifle, adding to the damage. A few sheets of crumpled newspaper could put an end to this, their shipping dept is TOTALLY negligent. The Photographer's model make it appear the stocks are Walnut, they are some generic white wood, stained almost Redwood. I plan to strip them and re-stain them. On a scale of 1--100 I give this product a 45. I almost returned it out of disappointment.

The Denix replica rifle showed up on time via UPS delivery, and it is delivered in the original Denix box. Let me start with, the replica looks very well made for the price, but apparently Denix doesn’t see the need for any packing material to keep the item from sliding around in the box. The box is about 8 inches longer than the rifle, so when it slid around it literally tore one end of the box open. Upon taking the rifle out I noticed a small nick on the side of the stock and thought no big deal, but when turning it over the other side of the stock had a huge crack. Denix should think more of their product and wrap it in ten cents of paper to protect it. Needless to say but it was immediately returned to Amazon for a refund.
