I think this is a fantastic tool every 1911 owner should have in their kit. It’s long-lasting and makes disassembly much easier for cleaning and maintenance.

Works as expected and keeps your spring end cap from flying off. Just know this is a tool to remove the barrel bushing and end cap safely but not for reassembly.

Gave as a gift (I don't have use for it). She said it was great for taking down 1911 , keeps the spring from flying around. Just have to know use it .

Feels a little cheaper than I was expecting but works great so I'm not complaining.

I'm taking off two stars for this products largest flaw... I needed a bushing wrench because I have a CMP National Match build with an exceptionally tight fitting bushing. This product is fine for disassembly, but it's a no go for REASSEMBLY! Since the plunger sits inside the pocket, it can't push the plunger all the way in and allow turning of the bushing. You'll note that every single description mentions disassembly only. You'll need to go with a traditional style bushing wrench if you want to reassemble a really tight bushing. So... Half rating for doing only half a job.
