Brer Rabbit Unsulphured Molasses, Full Flavor, 12 Ounce

I got this to make homemade brow sugar. This is perfect! The color the depths of flavor is perfect. Just what I was looking for. It came in on time and the glass was not broken. I will buy again.

I usually get the other, more popular BS mollasses, which was fine, but this one tastes amazing. I have it on subscription. I love it for the taste and health benefits. I put it in my coffee every day.

This is my favorite molasses for making switchel. Molasses, apple cider live vinegar, and juice of grated ginger root. Dilute with filtered water and ice. Fantastic in summer. B vitamins help with stress while ginger warms stomach and vinegar helps absorption. Better than gateraide for quenching thirst in hot summers.

I’ve been using this molasses mostly for my bran muffin recipes, and it’s exactly what I was looking for.... I never tried this brand but a friend recommended me this one, and I'm very happy with the outcome. I tasted it on its own and it is powerful and very tasty. The flavor is deep and rich, but not too bitter or overpowering. It actually blends really well into batters and gives that classic taste I remember from homemade baked goods growing up 🤤,... The consistency is pretty thick but easy enough to work with, and I like that it’s unsulphured. Honestly the only ones that work for these recipes are the unsulfured ones, because if not the bran muffins don't come out as good. That matters to me when choosing ingredients for regular baking. I’ve also tried adding a spoonful to other recipes that call for a little natural sweetness and depth, like certain marinades or even a touch in oatmeal. Overall, it’s a great quality molasses with no strange aftertaste or chemical notes. Just smooth, dark, full flavor. I’ll definitely be keeping a bottle of this in my pantry at all times, I prefer this brand and I'm glad I found it.

I didn’t mean to buy this. I meant to buy the sweeter type. I didn’t even try to return this because I opened it before I realized that I’d ordered the wrong type. There is actually nothing wrong with this except that this is not my type. This is just for the people who like this kind of stuff. Just my opinion. If you are ordering this, just know that this is the very strongest type of molasses. Not sweet, not mild, not the kind you can use to make brown sugar when all the brown sugar at the store is sold out

Currently developing a recipe for oatmeal cookies and this provided just the flavor I was looking for. A depth and complex sweetness that is not brown sugar or regular sugar. It gives a sweet umami razzle dazzle to whatever you are making. Also found out you can use this for some adult beverages as well.

I used this to make molasses candy. It came out great! 1 c. molasses 1 c. sugar 1 Tbsp. butter 1 Tbsp. white or apple cider vinegar 1 tsp. baking soda Instructions Butter two glass pie pans and set aside. You will need a candy thermometer. In a 3 qt. heavy bottom saucepan, stir together the molasses, sugar, butter, and vinegar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring just until the mixture comes to a boil. Clip a candy thermometer on the side, make sure it doesn’t touch the bottom of the pan. Without stirring, boil over medium heat until the syrup reaches 265 degrees. Add the baking soda stir. Pour the molasses candy mixture into your two prepared pie pans, dividing it evenly between the two. Let the molasses candy cool until you can handle it but it’s still warm. Work with one batch at a time. Begin pulling the molasses candy into ropes. This is very simple! Pull the candy, double over and pull again. Continue pulling and doubling until the molasses candy is shiny and golden in color. Quickly stretch into a rope about 1/2″ wide. With a pair of kitchen scissors or just a sharp knife, cut the candy into 3/4″ pieces. Let all the molasses candy cool completely. Store in airtight containers. Makes about 6-7 dozen.
