I was sceptical about the comfort and efficacy of a single brace that claimed both to work on either wrist and be one-size-fits-all, but it's a clever design that does really work. Because the rigid support to the thumb can be made to stop short of the IPJ (joint before the thumb nail) there's still the possibility of using the thumb a very small amount for gripping tasks if needed without more proximal joint movement.An unexpected bonus is that because of the design of the rigid component, you can orient the thumb in slight abduction or extension (or in between) just by rotating the wrist strap. With De Quervain's, this is important to note, as it's possible that if the brace is worsening your symptoms, you need to change the position of the rigid support, as it could be pressing on the site of the irritation proximal to your wrist.It's comfortable to wear for long periods thanks to soft fabric under the velcro straps and I would say it's very good value for money.

I suffer from carpal tunnel and lately my thumb has been quite affected due to working a lot on my laptop, therefore I decided to try out this wrist and thumb support, and I have to say, it has been making a difference. The support is lightweight and very easy to put on. The straps are adjustable so it should fit multiple hand types. I have tried it on both hands as well, and I had no issue with it. It keeps you from moving your thumb which is exactly what I needed. Also comfortable to sleep with at night, which stops you from twisting your thumb. Very good product and very reasonably priced.

I was experiencing some pain from what my doctor diagnosed as De Quervain's and this brace really helped. It keeps the thumb very still - impossible to text for example (which was exactly what I needed). The one thing is, it's a little less comfortable if you have small hands or a shorter wrist. For me, the wrist part came down further than felt natural. But it still did the job so I would still recommend.

Exactly what I needed for my Mother's Thumb. Works really well, is comfortable to wear, quick and easy to take on and off. It's also easily adjustable so you can get it at just the right tightness, whatever size your hand is. Only down side is that I find it difficult to pick up my baby while wearing it so I can't have it on all the time, I only pop it on while I sleep. I found it was ideal for then though because it prevented me moving my hand in a way that hurt while I was asleep. Not marking it down for this as it works exactly as it's supposed to.

I've used this splint with excellent results... except that my wrist and thumb have been getting progressively itchy each time I wear it. The other night I had to tear it off as the itch and burning, especially on my wrist was unbearable. I had such a violent red, bumpy rash with an insane itch, I wanted to claw my skin off! Fortunately, I had Witch Hazel in the house and that soothed the itch almost instantly (great stuff, that WH) and the rash faded within an hour. It's a shame because I loved this splint, the strap was around the top of the thumb, keeping it well away from the thumb webbing which is very sore so that's the last thing I wanted. It gave me a great amount of pain relief - but with the violence of the rash, I can't use it any more. It is a well designed item - but at the very least, the manufacturers need to consider lining this splint with some thick cotton or something. That would have made it perfect.

After fighting and losing to a rather lovely piece of marble on holiday I have deep tissue damage and overstretched ligaments in my hand. This brace has provided support and reminded me not try any other gymnastics for a while! Much better price than high street chemists too.

Good quality, good price too, very easy to use it, I'm new mom with one 9 months baby, as she grows bigger, I started to having problems to hold her long time and feel my hands really hurt, specially my both thumbs, and with this product really helping me with my hand, can fit for both hands with no problem, the metal inside helps my thumb stay and also give me the strength to pick up stuff with no problem, I have no complaints at all, and will order again for other hand for sure!!
