Perfectly clear ice spheres
I have searched for ice molds to produce clear spheres for a long time. I've bought several and none worked. I've used distilled water, boiled water etc. This mold works perfectly! The sphere in the photos was from my first batch of 4. Regular tap water was used. It's easy to use. You have to wiggle the frozen mold out a bit at a time; it's no big deal. There's a block of ice that remains in the cooler after removing the molds. I just turned it upside down in the sink and it came out about 10 minutes later. You can break it up and use it, too. It's clear. My bourbon is thrilled with these crystal clear spheres.

I’ve tried many. This is the most constant and best so far…
This ice mold truly does produce crystal clear ice cubes. I’ve tried many other types and styles with mediocre results. This one produces clear cubes every time. You must let the freezer do it’s thing and not rush the process. 24-30 hours is approximate for me. We have well water at the house and I just use that with positive results. The biggest issue with this mold is getting the inner silicone rubber mold out of the outer plastic water tray. Normally, I’ll pull them from the freezer, remove the plastic water tray from the outer styrofoam sleeve and run the outside of the plastic water tray under hot water for about 20 seconds. This does not melt the cubes, only looses the bind between the silicone mold and the water tray. If the silicone mold doesn't come out easily, I let them sit for about 5 minutes. Once you have the silicone mold out, the ice is fairly easy to remove from the mold. I have 2 molds and make 4 cubes at a time. Then I de-mold them and store them inside a plastic container in the freezer. When ready to use they look frosted, but immediately show crystal clear when they hit any liquid. A great addition to my bar! Cheers!

Great Looking Balls
They truly are clear, but you have to be Hercules to get them out.Reviewing ice balls can be tricky to script out.

Great Ice
Performs as described and is really easy to use. Only thing is you want to make sure you remove the ice from the molds within the prescribed time frame or they won't be clear.

Works great!
First try I got four perfectly clear, perfectly formed spheres after filling it with RO water and freezing in our upright freezer for 23 hours. The only knock on it is that it's hard to grip and pull the molds out of the base. But not that bad!

My second purchase and 99% perfection
This is my second purchase of this brand. I bought the spheres earlier and perfected my technique and decided I wanted the cubes also.Takes a little trial and error, and everyone will probably have a different experience, but this is what I do:Start with ordinary tap water. (again yours may be harder or softer)I fill my jumbo 64 oz. Pyrex cup/bowl to 32 ounces.I microwave on HIGH for 6 minutes.I fill the styrofoam section almost to the top. I slowly slide the mold down into the water (be careful, it's hot) until water comes out of the top holes. Then a little splash over the top to make sure it's full.Goes into the freezer for 30 hours and I get a great result. Sometimes the very bottom corner doesn't freeze all the way, but no big deal I just set it in the glass good side up. So obviously if you're having people over and everyone wants an Old Fashion, you have to start making these in advance. I try to keep 6-8 on hand at all times.Love it!

Imperfect Results
I cannot get my mold to yield perfect cubes, the way that the mold is shaped gives me cubes with one edge that never freezes or collapses. The resulting cubes are pretty clear however.
