super helpful
Got this for my son who's a drummer. Not hand drums... a regular set. After a few songs, a couple of places on his fingers, that refuse to callous, would get really irritated and painful. So now he sits down, grabs his roll of Eucatape, wraps those spots, and drums until HE wants to be done- not because he HAS to stop.It sticks well, doesn't interfere with grip, and it smells good. He says "9/10, because if I couldn't feel it at all, it'd be 10/10"... honest statement from a critical teenager.

Redemption and a corrected initially poor review.
UPDATE: my original review was not positive however, the owner reached out to help me directly, which was fantastic. He considered my review valuable and even helped me see where I actually applied the tape incorrectly. Eucatape sent me a few more cans which I have to say my experience this time around was way different. While I couldn’t replicate the exact environment, I taped more effectively and in performance the tape withstood much more than my initial experience. Sweat and all. A+ at this point. I’d love it if they did a few how to reels on how to tape effectively for conga, bongo etc and make it accessible from the purchase point. But company, especially a small business, who takes that kind of time and care to reach out is doing things right. Customer care is strong and the product better than I’d initially reviewed.

Best tape I've used!
I'm a newer stick drummer (not hand, to clarify - this says its for hand drumming and the TLDR is its amazing for stick drumming). A week ago I had a really long musical therapy session with some heavy 90's rock/grunge, a little metal, and ended up with some gnarly popped blisters on my right index finger and some smaller blisters on other fingers. I tried putting a Band-Aid on with some bandage tape over the top, and wore right through it (not to mention making a sticky mess on my sticks). I tried using "athletic tape," but it was too wide and rigid so I had to cut it into strips to get any flexibility in my fingers. It held okay at first, but quickly began to peel away after about 15-20 minutes of drumming. When I got the Eucatape, I opened it up and was impressed by the smell, for some reason I expected it to smell more like Eucalyptus and glue or plastic, but it just smells like clean Eucalyptus. I had a job interview I had to be to and my finger was still all chewed up looking, so I did a quick wrap. The tape is flexible, and even though it was very obvious that my finger was "bandaged," it didn't look like an unsightly mess like the other tapes I'd used. After the job interview, I decided to unwind with an hour-long drum session. The tape continued to last, it didn't peel up or wear through. It even lasted through washing my hands after. I've been using it for an hour to hour and a half every day for four days now and I'm still loving it. Even with just a single layer of wrap, my fingers have been healing and the other problem areas on my hands look way better. It may say "hand drummers tape" on the side of the tin, but it's my new favorite stick drumming accessory.

Lifesaver!
I don’t usually write reviews but in this case an exception has to be made. This tape has saved my hands (fingers) in a big way. I’m a professional keyboard player who’s always had a penchant for congas and finally got serious about it. However, it was toasting my hands and I was seriously considering giving it up as it was messing with my keyboard chops. EUCATAPE to the rescue!Thank you so much for creating such a PERFECT product. You totally rock as does your product.

ITS AWESOME, BUT TURNS CAJON BLUE
Before ordering this tape my hands would crack and bleed and bruise to the point where I didn’t want to play my cajon at all. Now I have baby hands again and I don’t hate my life. I have to wrap both hands entirely which uses a lot of tape but it’s soooo worth it. Side note, it is kind of turning my cajon blue. But I’d rather that than being in constant pain.

Good product for protecting hands
After using the Eucatape I feel it is definitely worth buying. I taped it as demonstrated on the You tube video and also on my finger tips, wrapped twice. After a long practice session or performance on congas, sometimes the next day I feel some shooting pains in my fingers for a few seconds as a result of extensive hand drumming and I have to really stretch my hands (a good thing to do all the time). However with the Eucatape ( I have used it 4 times now) I have felt none of those symptoms! Before I used to use finger cots as they work where I can also finger my saxophones. When only playing congas I will definitely use Eucatape instead. Now why only 4 stars instead of 5? Well Eucatape is really hard to get off your hands once you put it on! The other side of that is they don't slip off at all, so I guess I am being a little picky. Have a pair of small scissors on hand so you can take the tape off easier. Actually I would give 4 and a half stars.

Excellent Tool for Hand Drummers
I am a hand percussionist and I play for hours on end at times on congas, djembes and even dunduns. The wear and tear your hand can go through is not only annoying, but painful, and at times excruciating. This tape not only protects my hands when playing normally but heals my hands much faster even if I have to play on them. They have a 'minty' or 'mentholy' smell due to the eucalyptus but it isn't overbearingly strong. Comes in a nice tidy can that seals the tape inside when not being used and it's small and can be carried even in your pocket, though with a noticeable bulge. Overall excellent product that I has become an essential item for any gig or performance I may have.
