One World

This is the third copy of this album I've bought, the other two got nicked! Has got a good mix of music some a bit weird, some a bit predictable, but listen to it a few times and I feel sure that you will mellow to some if not all of the tracks on this album, will certainly make the locals head turn in the summer with the windows down on the car! Open your ears and open your mind peoples.

Somebody borrowed my copy of this fabulous double cd and of course I never got it back so simply had to invest in another copy.Brilliant World Music introduction and some fabulous tracks on it plus the sound quality is good.

I first bought this album many years ago on cassette, having seen its TV advert - which suggested a wide variety of authentic music from around the world, including the wonderfully moving African prayer that was so memorably used to promote Heinz beans during the 90s. And yes, there are some wonderful tracks that give a real sense of places and people. However, it's as though the makers weren't quite sure what to do here: many tracks have a lot of very modern touches and heavy dance beats, and the last track of all is (rather incongruously) Apache Indian's Boom-Shack-a-Lack. So it is a mixed bag, with some rare jewels. Obvious solution: I just ripped all the good ones!!

I bought this so that the children in my class could listen to music from around the world and could subtly appreciate the wonders of it. However, it has not left my house as I listen to it over and over again! Just proof of how wonderful this music is. Go buy, it's great!

My Mum used to have this years ago, and the music has never left me. I had to reorder it. It's great music from all over the world and brings back loads of memories!

This is a fabulous CD with music from around the world. It is very enjoyable and fully recommended.
