Fjallraven - Kanken Mini Classic Backpack for Everyday

Let me start by saying I was extremely hesitant to make this purchase because of the price point & because of the amount of people on here saying they received fakes. Well, I did it anyway. But I made sure to watch videos on how to spot the fakes. So it arrived & at first appeared to be fine. Very cute & bright. Then I began to examine it.1. The stitching was not that of a highly reputable brand. Some of it was undonealready!! (Sides of zipper)2. The front logo looked fine but again the stitching was just a mess like Walmart backpacks look better than this3. There were black spots on it almost looked like ink ??4. The inside stitching of the zipper looked absolutely hideous! Not the work of Fjällräven I’m assuming5. The inside patch where it says to put your name doesn’t have the Swedish flag on the bottom. Not sure if they don’t do it on all their backpacks but I’ve seen it on the real onesAll in all those little things tell me this wasn’t the work of Fjällräven & I’m returning the bag & buying directly off their website I don’t even care about the shipping anymore. If you’re willing to spend $70+ on a bag then just pay the extra 10 or whatever tf for shipping & get a real one.Edit: also the zipper did not have the "YKK" on the side which is what the authentic bags have, hope all of this helps!Edit2: I completely forgot to name the seller I just checked it was NetRush! DO NOT BUY FROM NETRUSH!!!Also I bought a real one from my local Nordstrom for the same price I didn’t know they sold them there until I called. & if they don’t have the color you want they can order it to the store without having to pay for shipping so that’s a plus!The one I have now is the real deal:1: this (black) one has the logo patch stitched on much cleaner2: it has the YKK on the side of the zipper3: it has the Swedish flag on the inside!4: the inside stitching is the complete opposite of the fake one. So niceThe real one is so nice and it feels indestructible! Save your coins for the real deal!

Pretty sure this thing is as fake as can be. Amazon delayed our Prime shipment so this wasn’t expected to arrive on time for my daughter’s first day of school. Luckily, we don’t live in the middle of nowhere so I took BART 2 stops down from my office to Nordstrom to buy the same exact backpack. My kid was fine, had her brand new pink backpack from Nordstrom on the first day of kindergarten. So this thing shows up today and it is the same exact model and style number, but is different. Different materials, stitching is completely off, colors don’t pop as much. Pretty sure this is 100% fake, I wouldn’t know how else to explain such a avast difference. Thank you, Nordstrom! At first, when I received the mini in air blue, it looked legit and the fabric felt stiff. It had the WASA 6 on the buttons, YKK on the zipper, the tag was colored in properly, etc. But after inspecting it closer, there is no swedish flag on the inside of the bag, the back of the buttons near the bottom of the backpack are different colors (one is gold and the other is silver), and in the pamphlet they give, it says "See all modells and colours". The fake is pretty well made and it was really hard to tell but make sure to look closely for spelling mistakes. The seller I bought this from was Avalanche Brands so make sure to avoid this seller!!

I have the classic Kanken but I wanted something smaller to take the place of a purse. Because me and purses aren't friends. Plus I use this to carry a few art stuffs whenever I feel taking my sketchbook places. Even though its pretty small I can put a bunch of stuffs in it, it actually fits more things than I thought it would. On the inside I can fit my 5x8 sketchbook, a bunch of colored pencils, a magazine, pencil case, sharpener, wallet, and even my giant 32oz Nalgene water bottle! With a little more room to spare. In the inside back pocket I can fit my 10" tablet. The outside front pocket is kinda hard to get into so I put things I don't need much in there like a small hand lotion, chapstick, small perfume, some stray makeup lol. Then the side pockets are pretty small but my sunglasses fit perfectly on one side and my phone in the other. Compared to my classic I can't help but say awww to the mini because its so adorable and small! Overall I'm glad decided to get it, its too perfecttt!Also to the people saying the fabric feels too stiff that is how a Kanken is supposed to be. Eventually the fabric will soften with use and age, and the zippers will get easier to open. You have to break it in like shoes! :D

I purchased my Kanken mini from the Zappos Seller. I Knew that i was paying more than the lowest seller, but buying an authentic bag was more important than saving a couple bucks. I knew from reading reviews to Select the seller carefully because amazon lumps all sellers together for one Item.This bag is 100% authentic. I did have to Youtube instructions on adjusting the straps as they were very difficult to move through that plastic D Ring.The bag is very high quality, and fits alot For being a Mini size. Its very comfortable to wear. I live in hawaii and the rain is quick and random, so having a water resistant bag is a must here! This bag will take me from a Hike, to the beach and Out & about!The two Side pockets are very small. I currently cannot find anything more than a cellphone that will fit there and it doesnt even fit my cellphone with a case on it.. I have various sizes Swell and Hydroflask water bottles and None of them fit. Those water bottles can fit inside though.inside the front Zipper pocket i can fit my iphoneX inside, But that is NO case! The phone does not fit with a case on it.The main pocket can fit a fullsize ipad inside.I wish there was some Pockets on the inside of the bag to better organize items like Keys, but i guess i can easily put those in the Small front zipper pocket. I will definitly be looking for a "organizer" to put inside this bag!

La mochila que pedí es la Fjällraven Kanken en tamaño "Mini". Tenía miedo que por su precio "más bajo" de lo normal fuera una copia. Aparte de eso, pedí el color "Mini Rouge" creyéndome que era un color oficial pero cuando hice el pedido busqué fotos por internet para ver más fotos de la mochila en ese color y me di cuenta de que el color "Mini Rouge" no existe oficialmente como tal. Así que estaba aún más preocupado en que fuera una copia.Afortunadamente cuando llegó vi que no era una copia: la mochila es original, se ve porque aparte de traer los papeles oficiales traía las etiquetas con el código de barras y el número de serie de la tienda oficial donde también se especificaba el color: "Brick". Así que si pedís está mochila en color "Mini Rouge" por aquí que sepáis que es el color "Brick".Aparte de esto trae la alfombrilla para protegerla del agua y la etiqueta interior para poner tu nombre, dirección, etc. Ahora sí, es mi primera Fjällräven y no se si volveré a repetir la experiencia. Que sí, que son muy bonitas y muy "trendy" pero al fin y al cabo no dejan de ser unas mochilas de tela y para el precio que tienen la calidad deja un poco-bastante que desear. Es cierto que la tela es rígida, pero de tan rígida que es venía llena de arrugas y ahora que la la he llenado unas cuantas veces se han quitado un poco pero ahí siguen y seguirán. Por otra parte, se ensucian con solo mirarlas y encima solo se pueden lavar con agua tibia y a mano, lo cual es un poco coñazo porque aún no, pero sé que dentro de nada le va a tocar un cepillado de agua tibia porque con apenas medio mes de uso ya se ve la suciedad un poco del uso.También me sorprende y me ofende un poco que para el precio que tienen en la propia etiqueta de avisen de que las mochilas destiñen y que no te las pongas con ropas claras. A mi de momento no se me ha desteñido para nada, pero aún así manda huevos que pagues por un producto que es casi de "lujo" (estamos hablando de 60 pavos por una mochilita) y que no hayan solucionado este problema.Por lo demás, muy contento con la compra. Llevaba desde hace tiempo detrás de una de estas. Si os gustan mucho mucho adelante, id a por ellas. Aunque yo pagaría un poco más y la pediría por la tienda oficial porque por aquí por lo visto muchas veces te llegan copias.

This brand and bag is something I’ve been saving up for for AGES. I waited until Black Friday before I purchased this bag because it had a great deal. This mini one is around half the size of the main one, yet It’s still spacious and got that structure. The colour is deep and rich, it’s one of my favs. The luminescent logo that lights up when flashed means if walking around mate at night, people will know where you are. Perfect if you don’t want to lug about a bigger one or if you’ve only got a few bits and bobs :)

I bought this after purchasing a much bigger Fjallraven backpack - I'm very pleased with both, but particularly the Mini one! It's a perfect size for what I want to bring to work every day - purse, phone, lunchbox, book, shopping bag and whatever extras I need in the front pouch. The "frost-green" colour is a little duller than previewed for me, but the "peach-pink" straps are very vibrant as previewed. I found the straps tricky to adjust, although I figured them out in the end (and as I discovered afterwards, you do get a little instruction manual on how to do this with the bag). The bag also comes with a foam mat as padding for your back, so please don't discard this accidentally if you purchase a Fjallraven backpack.Very happy with this purchase, and I look forward to spending a long time with this bag.

What a let down this was! For the price I was expecting something much better, but I get no sense of quality from this bag at all. Thin material, no lining etc. It's also supposed to be a bag that children can use but as we all know, kids nowadays have water bottles and they usually go in the outside side pockets, but the pockets on this bag are way too small - OK for a pack of tissues but not even the thinnest water bottle will fit in those pockets.

Fabulous little back pack for the kids holidays - it's small but because it's square you can fit assorts into it. The 4 rather than 5 stars are because the webbing straps cut into shoulders if the bag is heavy. I believe you can get extra padding for the straps so i'm looking for them as the bag is great.

I ordered the Pink Mini Kanken that was sold by Amazon UK and I was very pleased with what I had received! I love the colour, design and was surprised to see it could fit more than I had expected :) I highly recommend this brand ^^

Backpack was fine, to the naked eye looked just like the ones they have in store. Had to return it (my fault, though it was full sized) but the seller refunded my money.Colour was a bit off, more of a dusty brick than burgundy.

Great product. Colour as expected when compared with the photo. Is larger than it appears in terms of what can be put into it. Have been using for 6 months now and it still looks like the first day purchased.

Ich war immer sehr zufrieden mit ihnen und benutze sie weiterhin, allerdings sind sie meistens nur 1/3 voll wenn ich nicht Einkäufe darin transportiere oder zur Arbeit gehe.Nach einiger Überlegung entschloss ich mich daher, mir den Mini in einer weiteren Lieblingsfarbe (Frost Green) zu kaufen. Ich benutze ihn für Spaziergänge/Wanderungen/Halbtagsausflüge/kleine Besorgungen/Extratasche beim Reisen.Falls ich jemals ein Kind haben sollte, könnte ich ihn einfach weitergeben. :) Aber er ist für Erwachsene bis zum mittleren Grössenbereich ebenso tauglich. Die Schulterriemen messen in voller Länge 70 cm. Das ist mehr als ausreichend für mich mit 1.70m / 70 kg und Winterjacke.Beispiel, was für mich hineinpasst, mit etwas Platz übrig im Haupt und Vorderfach (siehe Fotos):Hauptfach:- A5 Buchkalender- Grosses Portemonnaie- 0.5 Liter Flasche- 800ml Essenscontainer- Stoffbeutel- Etui mit Göffel- volle KosmetiktascheKleines Vorderfach:- Packung Taschentücher- Stift- Kleines Etui mit Tampons, Lippenstift, HygienespraySeitenfach:- Regenschirm- Handy (LG4, hier nicht drinnen da zum Fotografieren benutzt)Das Material ist anfangs steif und wasserfest, wird aber mit der Zeit immer weicher, besonders, je mehr es mit Wasser in Kontakt kommt. Wäsche bei bis zu 30 Grad in Maschine ok.Fazit:- Sehr praktisch wegen Henkeln, Leichtigkeit, und Geräumigkeit wegen minimalen Extras.- Sehr robustes Material (einer hatte nach Fahrradunfall nur winziges Loch, was sich nie vergrösserte).- Sehr angenehmer Tragekomfort trotz schmaler Riemen (empfand ich immer als Pluspunkt).- Leider etwas hoher Preis.Danke an Amazon für die schnelle Zustellung (1 Tag, normaler Versand).

I already had the classic Kanken in Warm Yellow but have wanted a mini for a while, so just decided to make the leap and go for it! I couldn't have made a better decision; these bags and this brand always amaze me with the quality of their products and how much stuff they can fit in them. Would highly recommend. For reference, I got the mini Kanken in Deep Red!

Love the mini version. Perfect size for everyday use. Amazing colour. Wanted a funky backpack without being too handbag like. Great for walks and general use around town.

Whats not to love about a Fjalraven backpack? I bought this as a baby shower present and the mum thanked me effusively for such a durable and spacious bag. So stylish and cool! Great present for kids.
