A Must Read Informative Guide to Your Metabolism
I checked this book out at the library and read it. I was so impressed by the book that I decided to purchase it from Amazon. It's filled with information that you need to learn to love your body and the type it is. Knowing what metabolism and how it works is crucial to weight loss. Once you know how fast your metabolism is you can learn to deal with its speed or slowness.If your curvy love your curves. You will never be a waif. If your straight up and down love it. You won't be voluptuous but you can get more definition in your body.Loving your body and working out according to its type is what this book is all about.Love it!

This book is simply an amazing resource. There is something in it for virtually every woman -- and a lot of men, too. Geralyn Coopersmith's honest, no-nonsense approach strikes a perfect balance between information (both theoretical and specific) and inspiration and support. She bravely relates her own journey battling body image and eating issues, debunking false fitness and nutrition myths with hard-earned wisdom, simple facts, and telling statistics -- all with a light touch and a sense of humor. By cutting through the hype, she makes a clear and compelling case for accepting your unique self (body type), and then she presents detailed plans for enhancing and improving your fitness and nutritional well-being -- individualized plans of action. The workouts and recipes are well-written, thoughtful, and user-friendly. Basically, Geralyn Coopersmith has written a life-affirming, life-changing gem of a book -- intelligent, accessible, and practical. For this, we are all greatly in her debt.

A Short but Sweet Review
I could write a lengthy review detailing all the wonderfulness that this book is, but I'll spare you.Instead I'll summarize: Fit and Female touches upon the media's impact on how women perceive themselves, physically, and why we need to ignore it. Coopersmith then holds your hand as she talks you through some of the myths that abound regarding female fitness and guides you to a fitness plan with the goal to make you the best YOU, you can be.I believe this book should be required reading for ALL young women -- the younger the better. Time to take back our bodies!

Great for mothers and daughters!
I never thought a fitness book could be so entertaining.This book has great advice and it is given in a very humerous way. I have three daughters and my oldest is a teenager, I think this book will really help her get on the right path. So many kids today have eating disorders, take diet pills and do not want to excercise. This book shows you how to eat and excercise for the type of body you have. I enjoyed it alot. I recommend it for people who are frustrated with their bodies and want to get healthy.

Super Basic
This book is useful if you have very little to no knowledge of body types and weight training. You've heard and read it all before, if you're a pear lift light weights for lower body heavier for upperbody...so on and so on. However if you are very new, it does give very specific workouts to do and great diet tips.

A must-have for women everywhere!
This book does an excellent job of explaining how it's the little things that can go a long way toward living a healthy life. Great read, excellent information, I would recommend to anyone who needs a little help figuring out what exactly healthy living is comprised of.
