The music is fantastic, the vinyl itself seems reasonably well pressed with no nicks, dings or scratches. The packaging is pretty low quality.

Fantastic double LP, featuring some Beastie Boys and Unkles excellent mixing style.

This beauty was ahead of its time with contributions from Thom Yorke, Mike D, Badly Drawn Boy, Richard Ashcroft and Ian Brown. The original line up for Unkle of James Lavelle and DJ Shadow were both coming into this album on highs and prior to release everyone was expecting some masterpiece of alternative hip-hop, trip-hop brilliance but when actually released was regarded as falling short. And they were right.It's a great album and when it first came out both Lavelle and DJ Shadow said it was a difficult project and didn't quite work with the latter leaving Unkle. This album has appreciated with time and again both Lavelle and Shadow had spoken positivity of the work recently.It starts off with loads of beats, guitars and seems to have more of Shadow's influences more than anything particularly with the use of samples. Further in the album seems to be more Lavelle's with hidden gems like Be There with Ian Brown and Rabbit in your Headlights with incredibly beautiful vocals that considering this came out in 1998 goes to show how we've taken Thom Yorkes work for granted albeit my favourite track is Lonely Soul which is down tempo compared to the others though it works with Ashcroft vocals and seems close to some of Shadow's work on Endtroducing.

Something for everyone, even at 2 decades old its ahead of its time

Me alegra que después de tanto tiempo saquen una reedición del clásico Psyence Fiction (ahora solo falta que Lavelle saque la edición de Kickstarter que prometió hace ya seis años).Está reedición no es tan bonita como las originales, ni es gatefold, pero al menos viene con código de descarga en formato WAV del álbum entero, incluida Be There. Viene con las fundas de los discos impresas como las del lanzamiento original de 1998.
