I ordered this and the sound devices usb pre 2. the interface isn't registering anything from the mic. any ideas?

I did a little googling, and it looks like you're in luck: Your device has phantom power, which this microphone needs to operate. Consult your manual and find out how to turn phantom power on.

What interface/preamp do you use for this microphone?

Bose t4s mixer with the phantom power switched on.
